Joseph Lombardi didn't seem the football type. Raised by a dad who played in the NHL, he shined as a hockey player. But football later became a sport he enjoyed.
At age 13, Joey headed to college. (He's a very smart man.) He walked on to the Vanderbilt University team as a kicker and made the team. After the starter got injured, Joey came in and started the rest of the year, making 90% of his field goals and earning the starting spot the next year.
He had a decorated college career, as he won the College Football Playoff his junior year and was even nominated for the Heisman his senior year. After his college career ended, Lombardi decided to enter the NSFL Draft, where he hopes to be a top pick.
