Ja Brill, Vincent Sharpei, Dan Miller and Christian Adams end up staying after practice to hang out.
Vincent Sharpei: "What are we doing here"
Christian Adams: "Just hold your horses, I'm almost set up."
Ja Brill: "What is this anyway?"
Christian Adams: "It's virtual reality. We're going to play a game."
Christian Adams continues setting things up. Wires are everywhere and there are headsets and weird controllers and all kinds of crazy technology
Christian Adams: "Alright, it's set up."
Dan Miller: "So I just put this over my eyes and grab these two stick controller things?"
Adams: "Yep, that's it. I'll stay out of the game for the first one. Everyone else suit up."
Brill and Sharpei also put the virtual reality visors on. They seem to have been transported in to an old western saloon. Dead bodies litter the floor and it looks like a fight has broken out. The 3 of them are standing around a table with a gun in the center.
An announcer says, Dan has the gun, so he reaches out to take it. The announcer then says, The person with the gun is a villager, out of the other two players one of them is a villager, the other is a werewolf. Kill the wrong one and you lose
Christian Adams: "Also, I'd like to mention, you might feel a sharp pain if you die... *Laughs*"
Dan Miller: "Oh, alright well who out of you two is the villager?"
Vincent Sharpei: "I'm definitely the villager don't shoot me."
Ja Brill just stayed quiet and kind of looked down sad
Dan aimed the gun at one, then the other. Sweat beading down his forehead. He was aiming at Brill and then Sharpei said: "Good, it's definitely not me". Dan whirled the gun and shot Vincent.
Then both Vincent and Dan get jolted by the controllers and audibly yell. Christian Adams and Ja Brill are howling laughing. Looks like Brill was the wolf and Dan chose poorly. This time Adams joined in.
The games continued late in to the night. For some reason, the game decided that Brill would be a wolf the majority of the time, and Dan would be the first person to get the gun. With 4 players, if the person with the gun shot the wrong person, instead they were shocked and the gun passed to the villager that was "shot".
After a few hours, the teamates started to get better at reading the others and figuriing out who was lying and who was telling the truth. However, then the next stage in the evolution occured when everyone started changing up their game plans to throw people off.
Finally at some point a Janitor came in to clean up the locker room and the players realized they had been playing until 3 in the morning. The players decided to leave all of the equipment up so they could play when board and hanging out in the locker room.
Before they left though, they decided to play 1 more game with the Janitor. He hadn't ever played this kind of game and was lucky enough to be a villager and started with the gun. He promptly shot Dan who was a wolf and then Christian Adams who was a wolf. He had a good laugh and then went back to work while everyone else packed up to head home.
Anyways, If you get drafted by the Sabercats, we play Mafia/Werewolf in our discord. We ended up playing late on Saturday night and it was hilarious. This is definitely something you can look forward to if you get drafted by the Sabercats... and it sure beats Snail racing.
