Recently we've noticed an uptick in personal attacks on people across both the forums and the league discord. It's important that we intervene now before this becomes even further out of hand.

This league is meant to be fun. A ton of work goes into so many different areas of the league. From the updaters, to the NSFL and DSFL GMs, my fellow head office members, and the large list of others that also contribute to this league, we all do our best to make this an enjoyable place to spend your time because we like to be here too. Sometimes we make mistakes, all of us, but at no point does any of this necessitate tearing someone down because you're upset with them. This includes the thunderdome. Perhaps "anything goes" is a misleading caption as it wasn't intended to be taken literally and there is still a point where too much is too much. It was never intended to be a hub for spiteful or vindictive speech, though we will be more lenient when it comes to TD topics.

When discussion devolves from simple trash talk into unnecessary and malicious verbal attacks on someone personally, that's the point where we have to step in. There is a line that we feel is not so gray, but if anyone has any questions on the matter, feel free to PM an HO member and we'll do our best to clarify. From here on out we'll be taking action when it comes to these sorts of offenses.

I still heard nothing regarding my complaints from an HO but was instead told that me and my teammates were snow flakes. Our GM was fined and penalized for stepping in when you guys should have. As always GREAT work from the HO.

The HO isn't a single sentient being. If a report was filed and responded to, I never saw it. I don't know when this was, but I trust the rest of the HO to handle these sorts of situations appropriately, though we don't always share the same opinion, nor do we vote on every single issue.

I think calling you a slowflake for having an issue with something is way out of line, personally, but you should have come to an additional member when that happened. It doesn't matter if it's a new member or someone on HO. These standards apply to everyone and I'm going to do my best to hold myself and others accountable for their actions on the forums/discord.

That line sounds pretty gray to me. Some clarification would be nice. Examples, maybe.
I mean, it's not exactly difficult to argue that trash talk itself is unnecessary and malicious.

When you target somebody using attributes that in no way have anything to do with the NSFL its not just trash talk.

If you are going to be a total asshole, you just have to be a total asshole to everyone. Then its ok, right HO?
