Hey Everyone! I got scouting messages from just about every team and rather than spending lots of time trying to answer all the questions I figured I’d put most of the common ones into a media post to earn some money too! Now I know I haven’t been very active on the site recently and I don’t think I’ll be a super active guy for you in the short term, but I do intend on being on the site and discord from time to time. I’m what you might call a project player. I’m just a busy guy with college going on and I really want to focus on getting a 4.0 this semester so I’m pretty zeroed in on that at the moment. Anyways, let’s get started with the questions!
Do you want to play for X team/How do you feel about X team and the organization overall?
I’m open to playing for any team that’s going to let me play the sim league at my own pace. I don’t pay attention much to discord and most of the interactions I have are from my Pythons discord channel and some of the media posts I’ve seen. Here’s my thoughts on places I’d like to play in:
Colorado Yeti - Probably my top place. I think I could become a good second string or free safety backup for their secondary unit one day behind Andre Bly Jr. and it would be cool to be apart of a team that’s rebuilding.
Orange County Otters - My second choice as a team to play for. Who wouldn’t want to play for the best team in the NSFL?
Philadelphia Liberty - With PDXBaller being the GM here now and our Portland Python connections still going strong...I’d love to play for this guy again.
Team I wouldn’t care much for:
Arizona Outlaws - I don’t like the idea of playing here from what I’ve read about their team history and how they’ve treated some of their players recently. I realize it’s a different management group now, but they treated a buddy of one of my Python buddies really poorly and that rubs me the wrong way.
New Orleans Second Line - They are rebuilding like the Yeti, but I just hate the branding. It’s absolutely ugly in my opinion and it ruins the immersion for me. I just think the mascot is terrible and I don't like the colors.
San Jose Sabercats - This is the only team that didn’t reach out to me in private messages. I believe they have no interest in me so I don’t have interest in playing for them.
I'm neutral on the Yellowknife Wraiths and Baltimore Hawks.
Would you be open to playing another position/Would you be open to changing positions (team paid or self paid)
No I wouldn’t be open to switching. I actually played CB in high school and part of college so I’m partial to that position.
Would you be open to playing in the DSFL for another season/2/3 more?
Yes I don’t mind playing in the DSFL for a few more seasons or the max. I’m playing the game slow and at my own pace since I don’t have as much time with my classes and university clubs.
Are you active in other sim leagues?
Not active at all.
How active do you think you’ll be?
As I said before, I don’t think I’ll be someone who gets every TPE available. I do promise to make a solid effort when I can.
