The NSFL Draft is only a few weeks away, and Ludvig has been highly sought after by many GM's so far even in this short period prior to the draft. As the mock drafts heat up and have Ludvig ranked at the bottom of the second, it's anyone's choice as to where the aptly named "Norwegian Demon" goes in this deep draft class, but many experts are saying he is projected to fall closer to the middle of the first round with his recent activity and development. Ludvig has worked tirelessly in the league and is now the new record holder of the defensive touchdowns record, and with his blistering speed will be a dynamic threat for any NSFL team that may get a hold of him. With only weeks to go, we have been given the official draft rankings of Oskar Ludvig made via a post on his personal blog entitled "From Off The Rock". These rankings are subject to change, but from his communication with teams via emails as well as the current success of the teams and where they are headed, this is his immediate outlook.
8th Place - New Orleans Second Line
New Orleans is the team who sadly takes the dead last space on this list, and that is because there has been absolutely no communication between me and any member of their team through my entire career. I don't have a good connection with anyone here, but building some bridges with the Second Line management team would be a good way to get my interest levels heightened. The Second Line are a team that has built themselves very well and has gotten themselves out of their past rut this season by making not only the playoffs but also the finals, so I feel my assistance would go unnoticed here as well.
7th Place - San Jose Sabercats
San Jose comes in with the second last ranking based mostly on the fact that I haven't received any messages from the team regarding picking me up. I think that San Jose could be a great destination for me to play out my career, and I would love to join a team that is building and be a central piece in their future success. They are ranked low on my list right now, but this is the one I feel could most easily change to be a much higher ranking with a little bit of communication between me and the GM's. San Jose could easily launch back into success in a couple of season's if they play their pieces right, and I want to be a part of that.
6th Place - Colorado Yeti
I have opened up a short conversation with the Yeti concerning me going their on draft night, but no real conversation actually took part aside from one email. The Yeti are a very strong team, and they are in need of some strong defensive backs to shore up their roster and prepare them to become a dynasty, so I could be exactly the piece that they need, but in order for them to rise in my draft rankings we just need to get some more whole heart and open conversation going. I think that my personal connection with some of the members of this team is great, and so heading here would be awesome.
5th Place - Baltimore Hawks
The Hawks are similar to the Yeti in the sense that while we had a short discussion, nothing really expanded from it and I'm left feeling like it was more of a starter and that nothing was finished. It is important to me to feel a part of a team, and so that will be a very big dynamic when I chose where I would like to play in the draft. The Marshals locker room sometimes has a Hawks player come through and say hello, but what intrigues me about the Hawks is that if I join them I could launch into a big role immediately and possibly help them to a cup before they regress. This is especially good considering the recent announcement that Antoine Delacour will be testing free agency.
4th Place - Orange County Otters
Orange County is oddly placed up high on this list, and it might seem kind of confusing because I have had no interactions with anyone from this team other than very recently beginning a conversation with management, but I would love to play here. The Otters have been amazing, and still have a strong core in place but could find use for me on the defensive back side of the roster where I could immediately step into a role, and I'm not sure what it is but something just feels right about playing in the color orange for the Otters. The intrigue is definitely here, but talking more with management will do nothing but boost them in my rankings.
3rd Place - Yellowknife Wraiths
Yellowknife is a team that I have had quite a lot of discussions with not only surrounding the draft but also in general, and so I have a lot of interest in coming here. While they have a very sound roster with a lot of great players, I think there is still room for me to come in and make an impact, and with Dermot Lavelle recently announcing his intention to drop his player option and possibly sign somewhere else, there is a perfect opportunity for me to slip into the roster and fill the gap that he will leave. I think that if the Wraiths end up being my destination I would be extremely happy, and the only reason they don't come in first is because of my personal relations to people on the next two teams.
2nd Place - Arizona Outlaws
Now we come to the top two teams, and it is very hard to choose between them because I have a good connection via the Marshals with people on both squads. Right now the Arizona Outlaws come in second, just because the management has had lass conversations with me surrounding the draft to this point, but with their presence in the San Antonio locker room and having talked to them earlier in this season, I find it only right to keep the connection going in Arizona in the future. Both GM's have contacted me about playing for the Outlaws, and it feels great to have the interest be there.
1st Place - Philadelphia Liberty
With the Liberty throwing away their roster right around the trade deadline and scrapping it in favor of a full rebuild, there is a ton of opportunity to grab playing time and have the team build around me with me as one of the veteran presences on the team. The Liberty management has been absolutely amazing, and have contacted me in multiple forms from both the head GM and Co-GM as well as having had conversations with both of them in the Marshals locker room. It's really helpful to have had so many Marshals go on to be GM's, because it allows me to develop connections with GM's I normally wouldn't get otherwise. The Liberty come in at first place, barely edging out the Outlaws in a very close contest.
Remember, my ranking are subject to change, and for some teams all that it would take is opening up the dialogue and beginning the process of scouting for my interest levels in your team to skyrocket. I wouldn't turn down being drafted to any team ever, and this is simply so GM's can get an idea as to the buzz that is going around the league with me in this draft class, and so that I can earn some extra money to pay for equipment this season because I'm broke as shit.
