Please keep in mind as I do these, I am not really 100% knowledgeable in everything football and am just trying my best to try and build some hype/ expand on things the best I can. So lets start the 1st part of my multiple series media exploring some of the prospects available in the coming DSFL and eventually NSFL drafts. First up will be the Quarterbacks and Running backs. (948 words)
Quarterbacks
Andrew Reese - SwagSloth
Update Thread TPE: 96
Player Archetype: Pocket Passer
Recreate?: Yes
Height (ft.): 6'
Weight (lbs.): 260lbs
Birthplace: Indianapolis, Indiana
Strength: 48
Agility: 45
Arm: 70
Intelligence: 70
Throwing Acc: 80
Speed: 48
Endurance: 50
- Arguably the best available option (from what I found) TPE wise for the potential quarterbacks is the 1st of 3 available Pocket Passers in Andrew Reese. Already having some relations in the league (recreate) he comes into the draft with some knowledge and rep already surrounding him. Already closing in on the the triple digit mark for TPE, this quarterback seems to be building his game on his passing ability (which would make perfect sense for his archetype). Why change the player you are trying to be if it will only stop you from excelling at what your good at right? Boasting the best Accuracy currently of the class, the only thing he seems to be lacking currently is his ability to move out of a rush, and his overall endurance seems to be somewhat questionable still. Born in Indiana, this American should win over those looking for home grown talent as he starts his quest towards the NSFL.
Jamal Slick - JBLAZE_THE_BOSS
Update Thread TPE: 50
Player Archetype: Pocket Passer
Recreate?: Yes
Height (ft.): 6'8"
Weight (lbs.): 260lbs
Birthplace: Worcester MA
Strength: 40
Agility: 45
Arm: 70
Intelligence: 74
Throwing Acc: 70
Speed: 40
Endurance: 50
- The next best option seems to be the Young quarterback from Worcester, MA. Jamal Slick seems to be the same sort of player that Reese seems to be developing into with a little higher scores on his testing showing his intelligence is the highest of the current quarterback crop. Another Pocket Passer, teams won’t have to spend so much time dissecting the archetype differences for the players and if they will fit into their mold with this crop of QB’s. Towering over reese and being a little more better build for his weight and not shaped like a bowling ball, Slick’s ability to get away might be lacking now, but based on body type alone might be able to shrug off the odd tackle and move away when needed. What type of talent will he turn into? Most likely a starter for one team down the road, but out the gate he’s tailing behind a bit. Lets see if in a few weeks the playing field is a little more even.
Blake Bishop – Smitty
Update Thread TPE: 50
Player Archetype: Pocket Passer
Recreate?: No
Height (ft.): 6'4"
Weight (lbs.): 210lbs.
Birthplace: Vancouver, Canada
Strength: 40
Agility: 45
Arm: 65
Intelligence: 70
Throwing Acc: 74
Speed: 40
Endurance: 50
- Joining the party late, Bishop has a bit of ground to make up. Not only in personal reputation and making a point to get noticed, but in prospect development as well. With the draft only a few days away this QB needs to really start to get his name out there and start to really get some of his growth moving or he will be one of those picks talent near the back half of the draft as a dark horse pick hoping that he can turn into something serviceable eventually. The Media surrounding the draft too has been pretty dark on this kid so far, so it will be interesting to see where he ends up at the end of the draft.
Runningbacks
Antonio Summer - mckee29
Update Thread TPE: 57
Player Archetype: Speed Back
Recreate?: Yes (sort of)
Height (ft.): 5'9"
Weight (lbs.): 225lbs.
Birthplace: Melfort, Saskatchewan, Canada
Strength: 42
Agility: 70
Intelligence: 30
Speed: 80
Hands: 40
Endurance: 70
- Speed is the name of the game now a days it seems and Summer seems to be humanity’s best attempt at creating Sonic the Hedgehog in real life. A running back who you may want to make a point of pressuring physically to try and exploit his weaknesses with the lack of strength – hands and awareness of the developing play (intelligence) the trick will be catching him first. Already with a rating of 80 speed, when paired with his agility as well and great developing endurance, you have a running back who is ready to do carries often and with high skill. A clear picture what you are getting with this player, he still is a bit raw and has some improving to do across the board, but looks to be a potential solid pick for a teaming needing a player at the RB position.
Zoro Roronoa – Swegkingu
Update Thread TPE: 50
Player Archetype: All Purpose Back
Recreate?: Yes (sort of)
Height (ft.): 6'0"
Weight (lbs.): 215lbs
Birthplace: Shimotsuki Village, East Blue
Strength: 55
Agility: 58
Intelligence: 35
Speed: 72
Hands: 57
Endurance: 70
- A late joiner to the S10 DSFL draft list, Roronoa brings a much more balanced package to the table at the running back position. Maybe not wowing in any single category just yet, his even spread across the board guarantees any team taking him a safe pick for what they intend to use the player for, but some additional training would at least help to pump his tires a little more to get his name out there to move up the draft board.
