With 4 games remaining in the regular season, it's all said and done in terms of teams participating in the ASFC postseason where Orange County Otters and San Jose SaberCats will meet for the first time since Season 6. This leaves New Orleans Second Line on the outside, for the first time since season 7. Last Friday marked yet another important date in the offseason schedule as Trade Deadline has passed without GMs making any big moves. After rookie Axel Hornbacher decided to opt out local outlets gathered as Second Line star receiver scheduled appearance and making a statement. With his stormy career so far, where he batted heads with the previous franchise and was accustomed to winning and going to both Ultimini and Ultimus bowl games each season he was expected to follow the young safeties footsteps, especially since team after great four initial seasons seems to be trending towards retooling period.

Fyodorivich sits down to make a press release[/div]
When I came to the City of New Orleans in the aftermath of the deal that sent me away from Orange County Otters, especially after the fans branded me as the Traitor without me having a single say or being informed about it, I expected the worst, haven't had my own place and stayed packed and prepared for the worst ever since then. Only after signing long-term extension I felt safe and relieved, but still felt the pressure on my shoulders, because my years as cornerback have been so disappointing.

Fans & team celebrating Ultimus Bowl XI[/div]
But if I learned anything these past seasons is that the NOLA fans, teammates, management were always there and supported me through the worse and through the best, we had a fair share of both. Didn't matter that I haven't got any interceptions or that I had disappointing first season as a receiver. We got through it, dominated ASFC for straight four seasons and brought two Ultimus Bowls to The City That Care Forgot. I will always have this unforgettable four touchdown Ultimus Game of last season as a story that hard work pays off!

I've finally allowed myself to buy a place, that isn't for rent. Don't make any excuses anymore and lowered down the guard when interacting with everyone, whether it's a fan on the street, letter from a young kid or opposing player trash-talking during the game. It feels different, but so much better at the same time.
If it's indeed going to be a rough period for New Orleans fans you can count on Fyodorovich sticking with the team (ooc: as is the case with almost all my players).
I won't request a trade since I'm not desperately after any more silverware, I've won my fair share of both ASFC and NSFL rings and there are bigger things that matter. If I ever opt-out it's likely just to extend on different terms.
The Team and City won me over, taking a firm place in my heart & soul and I'm more than happy to stay here until my retirement, which thankfully is still far away on the horizon. I'm still a season away from my peak, and it's hard to say for sure how long I might be able to go, but for what it is worth my fitness trainer says it is impossible to go past S20, so I will be aiming to go until that season and still represent Purple & Teal. That is right - hopefully not one, not two, not three, not four, not five, not six, not seven, but eight more seasons!
