Hi everyone, Julio Tirtawidjaja here, pick no. 244 in the S22 DSFL Draft and rookie RB for the Tijuana Luchadores. I am available for questions so just shoot me any questions you have and I'll happily answer.
1.
First of all, I just wanna give one more shout out to the Luchadores for picking me and believing in me. I am happy to be a part of the a great organization with amazing staff and teammates that welcome me with open arms.
Honestly, even though I'm pissed so many other RBs were picked ahead of me, I would blame it partially on myself for causing that to happen. I was back home in Indonesia dealing with some stuff that made me respond late to a lot of GM interviews. I ended up only talking with Tijuana's GMs but they put me in as a pick and at the end it worked out well. I made it back in time for the Prospect Bowl but I was jetlagged and was out of training for two weeks so I didn't perform as well as I could, which also didn't help the NY Poodles to make into the playoffs.
Overall, I'm just happy to be on a team and making it into the NSFL is still a possibility. For now, I'm just going to focus on training hard and put in the work so I can contribute to the Luchadores and help them win another DSFL championship.

Of course its everyone’s dream to be the No. 1 pick overall but I’m a realist and I’m aiming to be picked in the first 2 rounds of the draft. I know there a lot of running backs in this league and not a lot of spots will be open but for now I’m just gonna work my hardest and be the best I can be for my team, my coach and my teammates, no matter in what league I’m playing.

I was expecting to get picked in the middle rounds but I was pick No. 244 so definitely lower than my estimate but hey, at least I made it! I’m excited about my rookie teammates, especially Ben Slothlisberger, that guy is gonna become of the great QBs in the NSFL. About the great RBs that I’m teammates with, I don’t see them as competition but I see them as mentors because I can learn a lot from them on and off the field that can help me become the best player I can be. I believe in merit and when I am the best, competition won’t matter because when I’m the best, people will know.

How do you feel about the draft and the team you are on? Do you think teams will regret letting you fall to 244?

What's your opinion on the rest of the Luchadores draft class?
How do you feel knowing you'll have to compete behind some great RBs in Tijuana as a rookie?
