[div align=\\\"center\\\"]Season Two NSFL Receiving Trio Rankings[/div][div align=\\\"center\\\"]Week 1-4 Review & Update[/div]
Ayeeee. We are back with an update of the NSFL Receiving Trios Rankings! We covered last season's winners of this series, along with my personal predictions and outsider's look on the Season Two trios for each of the eight teams in the league. Feel free to click the links to see where we left off and to get caught up on how the system to get the rankings works:
S1 Receiving Trio Rankings
S2 Receiving Trios Preview/Analysis/Predictions
I believe this series is some of my best work yet and they are very well received by the community for all of the statistic savvy guys. So once again, I appreciate you all for the support and I plan on keeping this going until I see fit!
Now that we got all of the pleasantries out of the way, lets get to the good stuff.
For the people that either haven't read the previous articles (despite my recommendations), just plain lazy (don't get me wrong, I get that way too), new to the NSFL community or any combination of the three, I'll give you the layout of what we are here for.
Every team has a specific trio of receivers, whether it's three WRs, Two WRs and a TE/RB, or whatever the QB feels comfortable with. These three makes the QB feel confident that a big play or a great in-game performance is waiting to happen.
We're going to be focusing on combined receptions, total yards, yards per catch for the trio and the combined touchdowns. In addition to that, we will see how many catches and touchdowns were completed to the trio in relation to the rest of the team. This series is to help what trio contributes the most to his team from the receiving department in comparison to the rest of the league AND the rest of the team.
We will also figure out the averages for the NSFL for those stats listed above to see where each teams stand. Whether they are above, at, or below the set averages depends on how they perform.
We will then list the rankings for each specific stat and each spot in these rankings will factor into the final overall rank. We will get to tie breakers once we cross that bridge but since it hasn't happened yet, I'll keep it a secret for now.
Also, I'm going to note that we DO NOT not factor strength of schedule for this. It's all about how they performed against whoever is placed in front of them on the schedule. As you all know, it's "Any Given Game Day" in the NSFL and you never really know how a team is going to stack up against another team until it happens.
Also another thing to note, these are NOT going to be the "100% End All, Be All" trios set until the actual rankings at the end of the regular season. You want your player in one of these spots for the trios, stop whining and complaining and put in the work on the field.
These are just the trios that I have seen for each team at this point of the season. This will not factor any trades until the next segment but if a trade does happen during future updates, they wont be featured in the current update and if it happens later in the year, he will not make this list because they played for two different quarterback from two different teams.
If you feel a player should be up there instead of another from your respective team, feel free to ask in the comments and I can do a quick work up to incorporate the change there to see if the ranking of your team changes, see in this link riiiiiight about... HERE!
°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•
Alrighty then! You're picking up what I'm putting down? Sweet! I thought I was clear with my long winded explanation as well. Let's see how every team stacks up so far this year.
We're not going to break the process that worked out so far, we're listing the teams in alphabetical order. The first team on the list is the reigning NSFL Champions, the Arizona Outlaws. Let's check out how they have performed up to Week four.
![[Image: TtLEXsS.png?2]](http://i.imgur.com/TtLEXsS.png?2)
The defending champs have very capable receivers on their team, led by converted safety Mayran Jackson (Love you on my fantasy team, bro!), Sir Chess and Dustin Evans. I knew from the beginning that Chess and Evans will be contributing as soon as they hit the field and they haven't let me down. As of right now, every touchdown thrown by their QB King Bronko, has gone to one of these three players
Their receptions are much more spread out throughout the whole team in comparison to the rest of the league but this trio still hauls in a respectable percentage of catches. Only know I would give them so far is the yards per catch for the trio is nothing too crazy. They can use some more yards after the catch to get that boosted up but they can get that fixed. When in doubt, throw it to Mayran!
°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•
Back to the DMV we go, the Baltimore Hawks didn't earn a playoff berth in Season One but they are hyped up this year and ready to do damage. How are they performing so far?
![[Image: GKOETd7.png?1]](http://i.imgur.com/GKOETd7.png?1)
Just like the Outlaws, this team is more catches throughout the team, but the Baltimore Hawks has been stepping their game up this year. Cooper Christmas is now the sole leader of this team while Matthew Vincent and Carmel Gibson continue their growth after being drafted. The Hawks lead the leage so far with FIVE of the six statistical categories above their respective averages. That's a spectacular start to the year.
As you can see, Gibson is have the best start for all eight starting Tight Ends out these first four games. The Hawks are off to a great start, having five of the six categories rank third or better is always helpful. If Gibson continues his dominance and Vincent follows suit, this team will be a top three Trio at the end of this and I have no problems throwing that in my predictions.
°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•
Denver, Colorado is the home for our next team, the reigning NSFC Champions, the Colorado Yeti! (Insert Clap Track here)
They came up short for the Ultimus against the first team we explained here but they got the juice to get back to the big game. Who is going to be the trio for this stellar squad?
![[Image: 0XmVV9O.png?1]](http://i.imgur.com/0XmVV9O.png?1)
To be fair, this trio is one of my favorites because of their leading trios because of Kendrick Hendrix's name alone! Haha In all seriousness, Him alongside D.J. Law and Jon Ross have been making up from last year's ranking, where they finished second to last.
Ross has done his thing so far as he leads his team in TD catches. Their combined yards per catch is better than most of the league at this point. We will stay tuned to see if they stayed dominant in these aspect. So far, I'll say well done by these three.
°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•
The first of the two expansion teams comes up next, that'll have to be the Las Vegas Legion. It's always a tough task to start from the bottom but they have all of the ability and firepower in the world to put in work for years to come. What exactly are they bringing to the table?
![[Image: ejsrT9P.png?1]](http://i.imgur.com/ejsrT9P.png?1)
Most would call the Las Vegas Legion the 'Feeder Team to the Yellowknife Wraiths.' One thing tat Yellowknife proved to have is a stellar pass game and we already know who won the best receiving trio of season 1. So far, this crop of receivers needs to get some more opportunities and in a hurry!
It can't be for the lack of talent. Stormblessed, Gabriel Tenzini and Alexandre LeClair are some of the best at their position today. Will Bercovici be the purpose of their success or their reason of failure? We will have to wait and see. So far, they're at the bottom of most of the categories but with the weeks coming along, these games can essentially will them back into contention.
°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•
Orange County, California. Home of so many things, some of which aren't legal in all of the states in the US. We're here to talk about the Mike Boss led OC Otters. We'll save that illegal business for another discussion. They couldn't get a win in the first two games this year but they have time to get back on track. Who are his preferred targets?
![[Image: 3ltrZRO.png?1]](http://i.imgur.com/3ltrZRO.png?1)
The Orange County Otters started out of the gate strong, posting top two in three of the six categories used in this system. Bradley Westfield, Robert Phelps, and George Wright Jr all got at least 20 catches and a TD to add to their respective stat sheets.
Only questions I have are:
Whether or not they can keep their strong start?
Will Mike Boss continue on his INT tirade
Is there a dark horse to join the receiving trios for the Otters?
How good will their waiver pick up Trey Willie do for them?
As the seen gets closer to the end of the year, I'm sure these questions will be no brainers.
°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•
We got the second expansion team to grace the NSFL and that will be the Philadelphia Liberty. They started out the gate slow but they can right the ship with plenty of games ahead of them. Let see how they're performing so far.
![[Image: XuUiSQM.png?1]](http://i.imgur.com/XuUiSQM.png?1)
The Philadelphia Liberty has clearly done better than their expansion team counterparts. Led by one of the more exciting receivers to enter the league, Fox North and his respective teammates Hunter Mason and Damien Kroetch. Up to this point, they have all contributed equally towards posting top three in four of the six categories.
This team looks like it's ready to do some damage in the future, their 12+ yards per catch helps their overall rank increase even more and as good as Fox North has been recently, expect that rating to go close to 14+. They can use more catches to bring their rating up but this is going to grow in time, I'm expecting a top five entry for them.
°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•
San Jose Sabercats will be the second to last team to investigate. Just like the Hawks before them, they couldn't finesse a spot to contend for the Ultimus but they said that the days of not contending are OVER! Who are the top three receivers riding the waves in San Jose?
![[Image: ciQuHK0.png?1]](http://i.imgur.com/ciQuHK0.png?1)
As of right now, the receiving trio of the San Jose Sabercats can perform a bit better. Not being able to be on top in any of the six categories is hurting their rank. Besides the reception stats, they aren't really making waves in this format.
Shane Weston, Bailey Cook and Break Bottles were in the middle of the pack last year when it's all said and done. If they continue this route, they'll be back in that same area. Luckily for them, the overall team is so much better so I definitely see them improving with time.
°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•
Can't have these rankings about the best team in the league so far this year (My opinion, whether you agree or not doesn't really matter. Haha). They fell short of fighting for the Ultimus but they started the year ready to put the rest of the league on notice. Does their hot start really proves that pressure really makes diamonds?
![[Image: n8GmeW5.png?1]](http://i.imgur.com/n8GmeW5.png?1)
Just because the Yellowknife Wraiths arguably have one of the deepest Wide Receiver corps in the league, doesn't always mean they'll be on top. As you can see, they're probably the more balanced ranked team right now in the league. Receivers Josh Garden, Darren Smallwood, and newly acquired Damian West have been leading the way for Yellowknife.
They currently have two categories above the average, two at the average and two below the average. It shows that there are spots that they are killing it in but what they are lacking in right now is what keeping them from being closer to the top spot. Will Ricky Maddox have something to say at the end of the year, having being replaced as the number 3? I'm curious to see how that will turn out.

Sweet, another one down! So far, it's a very small sample size but as we go through the weeks, I'm positive that these rankings will be different. As of right now, the edge goes to the Orange County Otters, but will they continue to make the job of Mike Boss easier or will they have to rely more in the run game to get the job done?
At the bottom of the list, we have the Las Vegas Legion with a fairly sizable handicap but there is definitely still time and games to make up their ranking. With receivers like Stormblessed and Leclair on their side, the sky is the limit.
I'm sure that you're wondering why the Hawks are ranked above the Wraiths in this ranking and what exactly is that percentage next to the team name. That percentage is what I'm calling the RTCP or 'Receiving Trio Contribution Percentage." Essentially getting the average of the trio's respective touchdown and receptions. We stick with the simple math. A LOT of math, but most definitely simple. I love numbers but not that much. Haha
That'll do it for now, let me know if you're going to raise your team's ranking by yourself, or call someone out if their holding you back from getting that top spot, tell him to step it up!!
Have a great rest of your day/night and I'll see you here next week for the updates through weeks 1-8!
