Hello everyone,
Earlier today I sent a league wide message about expanding to 8 teams. This was met with support and criticism and I wanted to let everyone know that I appreciate both sides of it. Your input is valuable to me and to the growth of this league. In the message I asked for people who were interested to apply for the GM roles of the new teams. Unfortunately I didn't get enough applicants to even cover the two roles needed. I did get one application that I particaularily liked, but one is not enough when it comes to creating two whole new teams. If we are going to bring new teams into the league they must be led by two GMs who have a clear vision for the team and the league. The NSFL is only as strong as the teams inside of it and the users who frequent it.
I considered going ahead with it, and filling the roles after, but after weighing the opinions of both people in favor and against going to 8 teams I have decided to leave it as is with 6 teams for now. We may expand in the future (sorry to our simmer @princekyle I know its a huge pain) but for now we are sticking with 6 teams.
I apologize to anyone who got their hopes up regarding the matter. I jumped the gun in an effort to make it happen on a short timeline with the lottery tonight and that was a poor reason to rush it. You can count on more thoughtful leadership from me in the future here.
Thank you everyone here who is making this a success. :old:
