Las Vegas Legion or now New Orleans Second Line Cornerback Terrell Brister makes his way to the podium after a disappointing first season, only getting 1 win. Brister finished 1st in PD’s with 21, he also finished with 4 interceptions.
The first reporter asks “Terrell you had a great rookie year, how can you build on that heading into your sophomore season?”
“I just have to keep working in the offseason. I need to become more agile, more quick and a better tackler.”
“You guys finished with 1 win. How much of that can be blamed on the offenses inability to score points consistently and the defense to stop anything?”
“We have to improve in every phase of the game, offense, defense and special teams. But for now we are on to the offseason.”
“You are in the defensive rookie of the year conversation. Do you think you will win it?”
“There are a lot of great guys in the running, I’m just honored to be in it. You’ve got Bly, Sierra and of course me. I think I was the best rookie this year, but we will see what the voters think. ”
“There have been rumors that Spike Crown has been seen in the locker room. Are they true? Is he trying to steal talent?”
“Alright first off Spike Crown couldn’t see talent if it smacked him right in the face. Second off, it’s just a rumor as Spike Crown is too dumb to make it into our locker room. Finally who cares really? Crown is a total scrub.”
“You led the league in PD’s. How hard was this to do as a rookie?”
“I just went out and did what I’ve been doing since high school. I go out there and make plays. If I see the ball in the air I’m either going to try to pick it or bat it down.”
“Have you been interested in whats going down in Tijuana since you got drafted?
“Once a Luchadore, always a Luchadore. They came close this year and they had a punishing defense. I wish I was down there with them to make it even better. Too bad they lost to a bunch of robots. Why don’t other teams do this?”
“So you guys just moved. Are you happy with New Orleans?”
“Yeah New Orleans is a great city. I’m still looking for a place but there are a few really nice ones. Also the jerseys are looking real nice. Alright. That’s it, talk to you guys later.”
