Double Media Draft Related
Countless DSFL articles come by, whether it be Mock Drafts or Skills competitions and such and one thing remains constant, people are selling Joliet L. Christ short. People are saying that there could be 4-5 QBs taken before Christ in the draft with some saying guys/girls like Falconi, Orosz, Bennett (ew), or Wozy could be the first QB off the board.
Here is why Joliet L. Christ should be the number one QB off the board in the coming DSFL draft:
1) Dedication. My goal is to make Joliet the best QB that the NSFL has ever seen. I understand the Mobile QB is a difficult task but while others are spending all their time focusing on about 3 categories, it shows true dedication to have a few more attributes that need to be worked on and still believe that Joliet will be the best. Having that speed along with a dynamite arm is going to make a DSFL team very happy to have drafted me and we can have a solid run/pass game right off the bat. I have been very active in any league I have been in and you can count on me to be around when we are holding multiple championship trophies.
2) Balance. My goal with Joliet is to build an all-around stud at the QB position. There have been some knocks on the balanced build from what I have seen so far but I think it will work perfectly. Not only will Christ have a terrific arm that is comparable to some other QBs in the draft but there will be no comparison in the legs and based off the unofficial combine results, Joliet is by far the best athlete at the position in this draft. Will it take a team may be changing their ways or building an offense around me? Sure, I suppose, but it will be completely worth it.
3) Experience. Not only do I myself have a lot of sim league experience and building players but Christ has game experience so far last year with Portland. The team behind Joliet ran a successful offense and the team rallied behind him rather than the failure QB Cole McCoy. Joliet performed decently in the playoff game keeping the Portland team in the game throughout. With the game and playoff experience, no one is better off running your future offense than Joliet L. Christ.
4) #SnekLife. With Portland having so many draft picks and being the first home in the league for Joliet, why would they want a different QB? Portland had interest when they claimed me off of waivers and I don't believe their interest is gone after the few games. Why would they want someone who has not proven themselves to fit well in the Portland locker room? Joliet was a perfect fit for the Pythons last season and with many opportunities to grow a team and still get the best QB in the draft, Christ looks likely to go back to Portland to continue his legacy.
5) Versatility. With a Mobile QB comes a player that is fast and agile and can lineup anywhere on the field. While I have stressed that I want to play QB in the league, I am fine splitting time with someone (Other than Bennett) and slotting in at HB, WR or TE in some formations while playing QB in another. Joliet is big and fast and can do well given the chance at QB and another position if need be. You could be drafting your future star QB (You are) and a competent HB/WR/TE at points as well. Why wouldn't you give me a call on draft day?
6) Desire to win. First and foremost, I want to win. I want to win in the DSFL, I want to win in the NSFL. I will do whatever it takes to win...besides completely changing positions of course. I can win as a quarterback and under a good GM's care, be electric on and off the field. I don't make money off of doing this, all I do it for is a chance to grow my players to be the best and win championships. Let's go win a championship together.
Falconi, Wozy, Orosz, Bennett, y'all be happy competing for 2nd best quarterback in this draft class.
