Alrighty welcome to this DSFL mock draft!
First off I want to thank siddhus for being the first to complete a DSFL mock draft this season, which I borrowed a little bit of layout from for ease of reading. Thanks also to those who corrected any errors in siddhus' mock as that also helped me organise this.
I'd like to also apologize to so many good S22 prospects that didn't make the cut, nothing personal - just be better.
Please let me know if I've made any mistakes or you see anything that makes sense, it's my first time in a Sim league so I'm still finding my way around and there's SO MUCH HAPPENING IN THIS DRAFT CLASS.
Okay without further adieu, Heath Evans's agent has prepared this mock draft (with only minimal bias).

Team Needs
Dallas Birddogs
As an expansion team, the birddogs have stated they're looking for players from every position with nobody currently on their roster. As they have the first overall selection it's very likely they will look to secure a QB early in the draft to build around. With several other QB hungry teams in the mix i would expect this will be their first overall pick. In the second round look for Dallas to select a defensive anchor, or an offensive playmaker to help out their new QB.
Needs: All
London Royals
Very similarly to the Birddogs, the Royals currently have no players on their roster a d will be looking to fill their ranks entirely through the upcoming draft. I would expect that they will also look t draft a QB with the second pick, however if the Birddogs take their preferred player, the Royals may have to pivot and select a running back or defensive star instead.
Needs: All
Portland Pythons
After their past season, the Pythons are looking at a pick that will probably see them target skill players on the first and second round. With their current roster Portland needs to improve the back end of their defense, as well as boosting the WR corps. If defense is selected round 1, expect WR to be their next call off the board. The Pythons will probably also look to shore up their defensive line, as several of their starters have potential to be drafted and called up.
Needs: CB, WR, DT, DE
Tijuana Luchadores
The Luchadores are in need of a QB. It's clear, everyone knows it - but they're between a rock and a hard place picking fourth after two QB needy expansion teams. Fortunately for Tijuana this draft class is deep and there are diamonds to be found in the rough. The alternative selections Tijuana could make if they don't like the remaining QB prospects at #4 overall may include CB or DE. In the later rounds the Luchadores will be looking for a kicker to replace Dougie Smalls as he likely heads to the NSFL.
Needs: QB, CB, DE, K/P
Kansas City Coyotes
Kansas City are looking to build a stable foundation to develop their existing players into a strong team. While they'll likely to add players at the CB position, talent may be needed at DT and also at WR/RB if certain players are called up.
Needs: DT, CB, WR
Norfolk Seawolves
As a reopened expansion team from last season, the Seawolves got through to the playoffs despite being made up of mostly draftees from that draft class. It's difficult to tell currently who may be called up to the NSFL, as no player has a TPE total over 200 - however the biggest need for Norfolk lays at QB. It's difficult to say whether it will still be worth taking a QB at pick 6 with the potential for three to be off the board already. If there are no QBs that the Seawolves like, look for them to pick up a new WR or DT.
Needs: QB, WR, DT, CB
Myrtle Beach Buccaneers
Runners up of last season's Ultimini, the Buccaneers have a solid squad across the board, however we know the downside to this is they may suffer more from call ups to the NSFL. Several big names will go from this squad, some leave holes that will need replacements and some have players waiting in the wings. The safety position may be a glaring need with Vegeta likely to go to the NSFL and a possibility of Stephens receiving a call up. The CB position may also need attention for the same reasons. Expect the Buccaneers to take a TE in the early rounds as well.
Needs: S, CB, TE
Minnesota Grey Ducks
Last season's Ultimini champions, the Grey Ducks will probably look to shore up their defense after the NSFL calls up a few of their top players from last season. With no CBs over 100TPE and their only safety over 100TPE, Murphy, being likely to end up in the NSFL Minnesota will look to take back end defensive help early in this draft. Expect a Kicker/punter to be drafted late rounds as well.
Needs: CB, S, LB, K/P
Round 1
Pick 1
Dallas Birddogs select: Ben Slothlisberger, QB, Central Michigan
The Birddogs need a QB and they find their man at 1OA in the gunslinger from Central Michigan.
Pick 2
London Royals select: Monterey "Monty" Jack, QB, Raging Cajuns
If one QB goes first, another will probably go second - it will come down to team preference as Monty Jack, his brother Colby Jack and Slothlisberger are all great options.
Pick 3
Portland Pythons select: Tyler Oles Jr, CB, Maryland
Picked up by the Pythons after the trade deadline last season, they'll have their chance to pick up Oles Jr again to fill a glaring hole at CB with someone who they already know.
Pick 4
Tijuana Luchadores select: Jim Waters, QB, San Jose State
A late entry into the prospect pool out of San Jose State, Waters draft stock is quickly rising and the Luchadores are fortunate that this draft class is deep with them getting a new mobile QB at #4. While his arm strength has been a significant knock on Waters, his athleticism should suffice to help his team in the DSFL.
Pick 5
Kansas City Coyotes select: Phat Boi, DT, Hawaii
The Coyotes will benefit greatly from Phat Boi's pass rushing presence in the middle of the field. Coming into the draft with the highest TPE of the DT class this should be a great fit.
Pick 6
Norfolk Seawolves select: Colby Jack, QB, Oregon
Four QBs off the board in six picks?! It seems like an absurd thought, but with active quality QB's at a premium, the Seawolves may need to take whoever is left at this point to make sure they get a solid player. This would also see both Jack brothers leave the board early.
Pick 7
Myrtle Beach Buccaneers select: Buck Thornton, S, Central Washington University
Assuming Stephens and Vegeta are both moved to the NSFL, Myrtle Beach find their replacement safety out of Central Washington late in the first. This run stopper steps into big shoes but comes into a well established situation with the Buccaneers.
Pick 8
Minnesota Grey Ducks select:Zamir Kehla, CB, The University of Texas at El Paso
With the shortage of CBs across the DSFL the Grey Ducks find a first gen early standout in Kehla - building TPE and a good bank early helps differentiate Zamir from a large class.
Round 2
Pick 1
London Royals select: Stanislaw Koniecpolski, LB, Cecora
The top LB off the board goes to the Royals looking for a centrepiece to build their defence around. The fact an outstanding prospect like Koniecpolski has to wait until the second round shows how deep this class really is. Some have asked if he should be stronger given his height and weight, but what is missing there is made up for with speed and agility.
Pick 2
Dallas Birddogs select: White Goodman, RB, UCLA
Auto pick for Gucci's player as the GM of the Birddogs. A solid beginning to this expansion team's offence. Expect defense in round 3!
Pick 3
Portland Pythons select: Susan Cash Jr, WR, Colorado State University
Another first as we see Colorado State receiver Cash Jr come off the board first of the WRs. Cash has made headway on the radar of GM's early and the Pythons need some receiving threats to help their offence get started again and Cash Jr can certainly help them out with that.
Pick 4
Portland Pythons select: Danielle Hunter, DE, LSU
Pythons get two top prospects at their positions in a row here, and an absolute steal of a pick with the big bodied tackling machine out of LSU being the first DE to be picked up this draft.
Pick 5
Kansas City Coyotes select: Ozamataz Buckshaw, CB, Stanford University
Buckshaw talks a big game on Twitter and some pundits have claimed this may be a distraction from the game, but the Coyotes take a chance on the corner out of Stanford hoping that this will keep his bank account flush.
Pick 6
Norfolk Seawolves select: Terrell Brister Jr., WR, Boston College
The Seawolves pick up arguably the best WR prospect of the class late in the second to pair up with their shiny new QB. Brister is fast, real fast and he can catch too - the only questions have been whether his conditioning is below par as he has been seen coming off the field in must play situations.
Pick 7
Myrtle Beach Buccaneers select: Heath Evans, TE, UCLA
This pick comes with a disclaimer. I represent Heath and have a vested interest, however with that said the Buccaneers need a Tight End and Evans has made an early impact, the big body athletic tight end has been estimated to already be over 100TPE. This is the second player from UCLA off the board after teammate White Goodman.
Because of my inherent bias involved with this player, two alternatives that may be picked here are Jeff Phillips or Daniel George as the other top TE prospects.
Pick 8
Minnesota Grey Ducks select: Johnny Hellzapoppin, S, Notre Dame
Minnesota use this pick to again shore up their back end defense further. This Safety out of Notre Dame has the speed and range to play on an island, but his tackling skill leaves something to be desired.
Thanks for reading through my mock draft, don't @ me.
