After having been called a waste of a pick in the S9 NSFL draft, Arizona/San Antonio WR ShaDarrien LaMelllana has had a breakout year in the DSFL. He is open for questions as his team heads into the playoffs with a tough matchup ahead of them.
You were drafted into the NSFL and traded not too long afterwards, what was that like?
Well, to be honest, it didn't feel to great. I arrived in New Orleans and immediately I was treated as an outcast. No one liked me, they were calling for me to be traded. Bovo had a decision, me or the rest of his team and I can't blame him for choosing the team, he made the right call. I have nothing against the rest of the team and I hope I can work with the rest of them in the future somewhere.
How quickly do you think it'll take to become a top target for Fitz @kckolbe? Have you worked with him at all during the offseason?
I think my first priority is elevating my game to the next level to where I can even be a target for him in the NSFL. Obviously, I've worked with him some at Outlaws facilities and some camps, et cetera, and I really heavily admire the guy. I love his game and I think if we stay together in Zona, we may have a dynasty in a few years here.
What's your favorite cereal?
Frosted Flakes. That shit bomedy.
What are your expectations for yourself in S10? How about for the Marshals?
For myself, it's my third year in the DSFL, and I fully expect to elevate my game to a level where the Outlaws feel good calling me up. I want to be a team leader and show the young Marshals what it means to play Marshal football. My expectations for the team are an Ultimini appearance. No excuses around it. We have the talent, we're gonna acquire some talent, and now it's all about heart and work ethic.
