"Good morning everyone. To the press, to the fans watching, I welcome you and hope you're doing well. This has been a crazy past two years for me. Being able to play football at the professional level is something that I've always dreamed of, and I never thought that I'd be given the chance to. But when I was drafted to the San Antonio Marshals, my dreams actually came true. I would be able to show off what I could do to NSFL teams and hopefully play for one down the road. I didn't think of San Antonio as a team at that point, I was thinking of San Antonio as merely a stepping stone, a path that I would need to take to get to the big leagues. Boy was I wrong.
The fans here in San Antonio are some of the most passionate fans I have ever seen. They show up to every game and support their hometown DSFL team. I'm incredibly lucky to say that I played for the San Antonio Marshals, and it's an experience I'll never forget.
I was introduced to a locker room with some incredible players in Season Eight. Bucky, Brock, and FitzMagic to name a few, all led by the great Mr. Ramero. I thought to myself that this team could be something special. And we were, finishing off the season with an 11-3 record. I think we all were very confident in what we could do, and we all had thoughts of an Ultimini ring on our mind. Unfortunately, we couldn't get it done against those Luchadores that year and we ended up getting beat by them in our own house. I regret not being able to give San Antonio a ring that year, and I'll always think to myself 'What if?'.
Then we lost a good amount of guys to the NSFL, retirement, what have you, and we got some great new players in the draft. I was again excited about the possibility of getting an Ultimini ring with this crew, for me, and most of all, for San Antonio. But again, we failed.
I would absolutely run it back again in San Antonio, but I have to think about my career, the bigger picture. Would I be wasting valuable NSFL years playing in the DSFL? Would we be a guaranteed Ultimini winner? To be honest, I'm not sure. I've thought about this long and hard, asked myself and my peers many questions, and have come up with a decision.
Again, with all of these factors and variables in mind, I have decided to move up to the NSFL and play with the Philadelphia Liberty.
To my past teammates in San Antonio, good luck. I have faith that you guys will get it done this year, and my protege Cansino will lead you guys to victory. To the front office, thank you for taking a chance on me. And to the fans in San Antonio, I'm sorry I couldn't get you guys an Ultimini. But I will never, ever, forget you all. To the Philadelphia Liberty, I'm excited to take this next step in my career and play in Philly. Let's win a ring or two.
Thank you, and Trust The Process."
