[div align=\\\"center\\\"]Reese's Future in... Pieces???[/div]
Speculation has begun to build around Kansas City Coyotes Quarterback Andrew Reese, one of the stand-out candidates prospects in next season’s NSFL Draft. Reese has struggled a bit in the DSFL, but possesses a natural talent and work ethic that has caught the eye of several NSFL team scouts. Unfortunately, Reese appears to be the right player at the wrong time as many teams seem satisfied with their long-term prospects at the position and thus have overlooked the the Coyotes’ current Field General. Many scouts that were expected to spend time speaking with Reese have allocated much of that time to prospects at other positions, leading some to wonder if Reese will be staying down in Kansas City for a long time to come.
The Quarterback position is one of the most sought-after spots in the NSFL. And, once a starting spot is required, it is rarely surrendered. Many DSFL passers have found themselves choosing between settling with a career in the minor leagues or forcing themselves to learn a new position. The DSFL itself has resources in place to help prepare players to adopt a new role once they enter the NSFL, but the pride that comes with the Quarterback position has led many to forego that route, hoping instead to catch the eye of top-level team and earn a starting spot with the big eight.
Reese, like many young Quarterbacks, has refused to comment when asked about switching to another position. However, speculation has triggered based on what some are seeing in the Kansas City camp, leading many to wonder if Reese has other plans. Sources say that Reese has began to focus on endurance and mobility. Officials have commented that they see Reese working toward a more well-rounded approach to the Quarterback position, but he’s been seen working closely with the team’s top defenders, studying the various positions as he contemplates his future. Though he only weighed 205 lbs. around the start of the season, Reese has also reportedly put on weight, suggesting that he might be gearing up for a dramatic change. It would be quite a sight to see Reese enter the league as a linebacker or defensive tackle, but crazier things have happened in the NSFL. Likewise, he could easily be conditioning himself for another role entirely as athletes at the pro level add and cut weight all the time. At this point, it seems that anything is possible.
