If any of you guys haven't read this or this before, you're missing out. A few years ago a user decided to do a hands off sim through madden for literally 30 seasons and we discovered the legend known as Nate Grunhard. This entire idea is inspired by u/prguyhere himself and I've been meaning to do it for the guts of a year. I'll be simming thirty (or possibly more) seasons through DDSPF and giving a season by season/team review. If there's anything you'd like to see added to this in the future, leave them below! Settings are all default, players will be drafted by the CPU teams, free agent moves etc. There are just two settings changed for this simulation, injuries are on and the playoffs consists of 8 teams not the 6 (via force win) for maximum carnage and realism. Additionally, players in the free agency pool who are retired in our league but not in the sim had their ages changed to 50 and their stats to zero so that they're not picked up. (Looking at you, Borkus Maximus III)
So we're starting with the newest file (prior to tonights sim), that's S17 Week 12's file. Which means standings are as follows:
![[Image: Jssjsvk.png]](https://i.imgur.com/Jssjsvk.png)
S17 Regular Season (2032)
To finish off the regular season, week 13 sees SJS defeat COL, BAL easily dispatches NOLA, CHI sees off OCO, AZ wins over PHI by 14 and finally Yellowknife beats Austin 34-17.
S17 Playoffs (2032)
This means the playoffs is as follows:
![[Image: u4nYs9F.png]](https://i.imgur.com/u4nYs9F.png)
Let's sim this.
The playoffs hold to form with the higher seeded teams all progressing:
YKW>COL 21-19
BAL>CHI 34-9
AZ>AUS 31-27
OCO>SJS 23-10
Which results in the 9-4 Baltimore Hawks facing the Home Field 9-4 Yellowknife Wraiths while the 6-7 Orange County Otters travel to Arizona to face the 9-4 Outlaws.
As Leafman would say, Chaos.
![[Image: EM0dpzY.png]](https://i.imgur.com/EM0dpzY.png)
While The Yellowknife Wraiths womp the Baltimore Hawks 44-6. The 6-7 Otters eek out a W despite being on the road against the Outlaws. It's a Wraiths/Otters Ultimus final with Yellowknife at home field in the Burial Grounds.
![[Image: cMId6AX.png]](https://i.imgur.com/cMId6AX.png)
Alas the OCO dream is over as the Wraiths pickup their first Ultimus title since S8. Now onto our first ever offseason. The sim chooses Cooter Bigsby as MVP, OPOY and Playoff MVP. Grithead is DPOY, Easton Cole as OROTY (his player must've got deleted in the sim at some stage) and Honda Edmond as DROTY. Pro bowl is relatively boring, with no real changes anywhere. However this is where I noticed something interesting, prior to the Ultimus game starting OCO RB Apollo Reed fractured his arm which made him miss the final. Additionally Adrian Pitcher broke his wrist which leaves him out for 6-8 weeks.
S18 Offseason (2033)
Our first piece of information for the new season is that Zobot Runner26 has retired not once, not twice but three times which will surely lead to his jersey being retired twice for Baltimore and once for Austin, a league legend.

S18 Draft (2033)
![[Image: Vb03j4I.png]](https://i.imgur.com/Vb03j4I.png)
With the first pick in the S18 NSFL Draft, NOLA selects Kyle Kearney, SS out of LSU. 76 Overall, 85 speed, 80 agility and 32 intelligence. Incredible. He's already 4 overall higher than actual sim league player Jeff Jefferson IV who's only a 72 so Kearney looks to take the spot.
Art Gonzales, DT out of Murray State. He's 71 overall but has 69 tackling so this might be a great pick. He's actually Phillys best DT in this universe.

Stephen White, RB from Lafayette. 86 agility, 79 speed and endurance while also having 13 accuracy and 28 arm looks to be a stud. He's just two overall lower than Ashley Owens who sits at an 82.

Gustavo Riggs, WR from Mississippi State. 90 agility, 78 speed, 71 endurance. Will likely be third or fourth on the depth chart behind Bishop (98), Forty-Two (85) and Pennington (76) who's overall he matches.

Antonio Trevino, RB from Murray State. He's 76 overall, 85 speed, 73 agility and remarkably 74 strength. He's also San Jose's sixth RB on their roster between Bigby, Boija, Davenport, Orosz, and Waldrop who would be drafted in the second round (with a blistering 90 agility and 65 overall). You've heard of fullback university, it's time for HB community college.

Edward Jackson, WR from Eastern Michigan. 74 overall (5th best WR on the Chicago roster). 84 agility, 74 endurance and 70 speed. He is the wide receiver version of Dermot Lavelle Jr. I don't know why Chicago picked him.

Carl Cummings, WR out of Texas AM. Yes not Texas A&M. I think that's either a typo by Wolverine studios or one of the filler universities which now apparently players will come from. Texas AM it is. 74 overall, 88 speed, 87 agility, 68 hands and 57 endurance. He's pretty good for about one whole play before he needs some air. He's Arizona's fourth best receiver.

Jack Chavis, RB out of Texas AM. Yes Texas AM again, fantastic. He's Baltimore's third best running back @ 71 overall, 85 speed, 84 agility, 78 endurance. For reference, Vander Jones is a 93, Jimbo's an 80.

Donald Mackenzie, RB out of Wofford. 69 overall with 81 agility. Second best running back on the team of the 6 currently there.

William Soriano, OL out of Holy Cross. 71 overall. He's the 7th best linemen on their team. I don't know why the Wraiths picked him at all. Ah well, can't question the champ champs.
Rest of the draft? Mostly mid to high 60's across the board. The Yeti did pick up a 71 overall in the third, while NOLA drafted a 77 overall QB to compete with Francisco in the third round. The majority of other teams just drafted mostly 60 overalls with no real sleeper picks.
S18 Training Camps (2033)
![[Image: DlfRte1.png]](https://i.imgur.com/DlfRte1.png)
The closest thing we get to regression and progression in this universe. Okura is an absolute monster in the camps while the sim randomly chooses others to regress. Incredible stuff. Truly inspiring.
![[Image: 4Udzytw.png]](https://i.imgur.com/4Udzytw.png)
In other news, San Jose is disappointed with their 5th overall picks performances in training camp. I mean he's literally the 6th RB on the depth chart? What do you want from him???
![[Image: DuKdumk.png]](https://i.imgur.com/DuKdumk.png)
For a reason not known by I, NOLA fans are disappointed with the development of their third round drafted QB, Rob Wallace.
WHY ON GODS NAME DO YOU THINK HE SHOULD BE THE STARTER NOLA FANS????
Simming through preseason found that for whatever reason, the New Orleans Second Line & Chicago Butchers opted to not play in week 4. So they only had a 3 game preseason. Unusual but it's all tactical I'm sure of it.
S18 Regular Season (2033)
![[Image: Ugo7Jt6.png]](https://i.imgur.com/Ugo7Jt6.png)
Heading into Week 1, there's a few major injuries, such as OL T. Amper who's done his MCL. Slim Shady now has a broken skull. Grievous done his ACL, Harrison did his MCL with all other injuries being relatively minor. Shoutout to Jonathon Rice with his allergies keeping him down and Cooter Bigsby having broken his nose, I was looking forward to seeing the 54 overall Zobot Jugsmachine3 lead the Wraiths but it wont be.
BALTIMORE
: Remarkably, Baltimore opts to drop the 100 overall Corvo Havran in favor of Henry Kessler. Yes the 67 overall, 5th round pick in the 2033 Draft. Dorfus Jimbo suffers a concussion in week 12 which will sideline him for up to 16 weeks. Xandra Troyski breaks her arm in week 13, ending her season. With the sheer amount of injuries and the fact that the Baltimore HC has decided to start 67 overall Henry Kessler over 100 overall Corvo Havran, Baltimore finishes 2-11, bottom of the conference while Kessler throws for 2,376 yards, 14 touchdowns , 38 interceptions with a completion rate just under 45%. Incredible. Remarkably despite finishing 2-11, Baltimore are only a single game off playoffs.
CHICAGO
: LB Blake Faux goes down in week 3 with a broken leg, ending his season. Arbin Asipi III in week 13 tears his abdominal muscle, season over. Despite Faux going down early, Chicago finishes 12-1, best record in the league. Jenkins throws for 2,850 yards, 19 touchdowns and just 4 interceptions. Torenson rushes for 1,583 yards and 20 touchdowns in only 12 games. Achilles Hondo ties the all time single season interception record with 8.
COLORADO
: Wolfie McDummy's season finishes in week 8 with an injury. Zobot JugsMachine2 starts for 5 straight games. He throws for 631 yards (yes total), 1 touchdown and 27 interceptions while completing just 37% of his passes. Despite finishing 3-10, Colorado are in the playoffs alongside the 3-10 Wraiths.
PHILADELPHIA
: Philadelphia remain nearly injury free throughout the season and has a 10-3 record to show for it, tied for second best record in the league with the Outlaws. Falconi throws for 3.588, 25 touchdowns and 8 interceptions. 59%. Marquise Brown rushes for 1,628 yards and 13 touchdowns. Nacho Varga goes for 1,288 yards and 9 touchdowns. Lennox Garnett snags 7 interceptions and 4 sacks.
YELLOWKNIFE
: In week 11 of the regular season, Cooter Bigsby breaks his leg. It's Zobot JugsMachine3's time to start for two games. Yellowknife struggles to a 3-10 record, playoff bound though behind the HOT JugsMachine3 who in 4 games has completed 31% of his passes, 379 yards for 0 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. Playoff bound though!
ARIZONA
:
Heartache for Arizona early in the season as in week 2, Raymond Vans ruptures his achilles, missing the rest of the season. Balthazar Crindy tears his ACL in week 11. Reese leads the league in yards (3,866) with a 24/10 int ratio. 10-3 record, dominant and looking to do more in the playoffs after last years heartache.
AUSTIN
: Peter Larson goes down early for 4-6 weeks with a ruptured disc. Week 8 results in Rod Tidwell tearing his hamstring, ending his season. Tough break for the kid. Austin struggles to a 6-7 record, playoff bound.
NEW ORLEANS
: Week 11 sees RB Forrest Gump tear his bicep muscle, out for 12-16 weeks. NOLA misses the playoffs with a 6-7 record, losing out to Austin in a tiebreaker. Impressive considering Stan Francisco was performing poorly and got hurt in week 8 to end her season (1,827 yards, 55%, 8TD, 9INT) and the third round pick, ROB WALLACE stepped up. Throwing for 1,295 yards, 55%, 10 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. Gump rushes for 1,435 yards and 14 touchdowns in an injury cut 11 game season. Jones & Fyodo both rack up >1k yards.
ORANGE COUNTY
: Orange County finishes 7-6, pretty healthy with the second best record in the conference. Armstrong is 2,451 yards, 23 touchdowns, 9 interceptions, 59% from the field. Apollo Reed rushes for 1,677 yards and 16 touchdowns. That's it really.
SAN JOSE
: Kolby Derringer breaks his leg in week 5, out for the rest of the season. William Tell breaks his foot in week 9, season ending. San Jose makes the playoffs with a 6-7 record, third seed. Christ throws for 1,999 yards and 14/5 on td/ints.
S18 Playoffs (2033)

We make our way to the playoffs. Who's your money on? Can Jenkins keep up her regular season form for the Butchers?
