Great article man. Just remember that Clegane and Pest are risky picks in the first round, as they will sit out the season if they do not land on their S1 teams.

I was not aware of that. That makes them extremely risky, BUT they are so valuable that the time would likely draft and trade if they couldn't make a trade happen by the end of their draft clock, just as with Elway and Manning.

Also, I wrote this article as a journalist, not a player. As Kevin Cushing, I don't know who will draft you, but I hope it's somewhere I don't go. I want the honor of matching up against a real S2 rookie with talent.

Nope. IIRC a S was drafted #2 overall, but that's it. #1 is for flashy positions like QB, RB, EDGE, etc.

Actually Gary Glick the safety was picked 1st overall in the 1956 NFL Draft.
