*NSFL Game of the Week

The NSFL Game of the Week (hereafter GOTW) is quite simply the game from the past in-real-life week that was closest based solely on the score. I'm sure this will come as a surprise to almost everyone, but that game this was week was the Week 2 matchup between the Arizona Outlaws and the Yellowknife Wraiths in Yellowknife, the capital city of Canada's Northwest Territories and the home of the Wraiths.

Please note: I'm trying to match game events with realistic colours and circumstances, so please don't point out if the player shown is not your render. I'll try my best to match them up, though.

First Quarter Highlights
An uneventful first quarter. With 7:25 remaining, the Outlaws break the deadlock with a 1-yard touchdown pass from quarterback King Bronko to running back Reg Mackworthy. The only score of the quarter.

Second Quarter Highlights
It doesn't take long for things to kick off in the second quarter as Yellowkife quarterback Mat Akselen runs for a 19-yard touchdown, which is converted by Forfeit to level the scores.



Score: YKW 7 - 7 ARI

A gutsy 5-yard rushing touchdown from Reg Mackworthy - his second score of the day - puts the Outlaws back in front with a little over 6 minutes remaining in the half.



Score: YKW 7 - 14 ARI

The Wraiths cut into the Outlaws' lead with a successful 20-yard field goal from kicker None Forfeit, and the home side go into the halftime break down 14 - 10.

Third Quarter Highlights
The Wraiths were the first to strike in the second half, with running back Robby Rainey scoring a touchdown on a tough 3-yard run after less than 3 minutes, putting his side in front for the first time in the game. It would be the only score of the quarter.

Fourth Quarter Highlights
It took until nearly halfway through the final quarter for another team to score, and it came in the form of another barnstorming run from Reg Mackworthy - now with 3 scores on the day - who ran in a tough 2-yard touchdown.



Score: YKW 17 - 21 ARI

The Wraiths hit back with just 4 minutes remaining, as a broken down play on the goal line and strong blocking up front allowed Akselen to stroll in for his second rushing touchdown of the day.



Score: YKW 24 - 21 ARI

With just 19 seconds remaining in the match, Outlaws kicker Dean Jackson slotted a 20-yard field goal to bring the game level, and force overtime.

Overtime Highlights
A game of inches. The Wraiths come out victorious in a near-upset against the Outlaws, as Robby Rainey runs it in for his second touchdown of the day on a 6-yard dash, narrowly avoiding defenders to end the game.
