*Will we need to fold two NSFL teams?

How?

I'm in the SHL who has the exact same setup as this place. I'm stating my preference in one or the other as I've seen both sides of it.

I'm not the be all end all of sim league experience, but I've been in them for 13 years and I can tell you exactly what has happened because unlike the majority here, I'm not just in money-earning leagues.

So to summarize:

1) You state a preference
2) People disagree
3) You respond with "this is how it goes in x other leagues over x years"

TL;DR - your disregard for people explicitly giving you evidence to the contrary (by stating that they would be discouraged as a new user in a league which offers carryover TPE) implies that you are in fact the one "set in their ways"

Just throwing in my two cents here, if anything I would feel okay about giving recreate TPE in installments over the course of a player's career.

Also if recreate TPE is the only thing motivating someone to recreate they probably wouldn't have actually stayed in the league long enough to need to recreate.

There's been great points on both sides. Kendrick's experience is of value in this discussion. I just really don't want to see great discussion derailed in what is becoming an unproductive fight.

FWIW, I was discouraged by SBA's carryover TPE, but did still give it a chance. I can't say it was one of the major reasons I quit.

No I'm pointing out what has happened in other leagues, whether they choose to look at those as examples is up to them.

As a new player who joined the SBA fairly recently, I think getting bumped up to the pro league at 200 tpe is fine. However, it was pretty jarring to see players with 400 + TPE going up to SBA from the NCAA. No way for a new player to achieve that TPE amount vs the older players. Seems like an unfair advantage. Also, I kinda dislike the extra TPE gains for holding jobs in that league also feels kinda bad (cap of 12 per week where the average player can only hit 9).



I prefer NSFL's style where things are fair, and you get fair "pay"for your work, it just takes time to cash it in, and for really rich people... a long time.

This statement is all we should need to immediately kill the TPE carryover argument.
When it's obvious to users that they'll never be able to catch verterans, that will absolutely put people off and kill new interest in the league. The fact that SBA does something a certain way means nothing to me. This is the NSFL, not SBA: Football Edition.

It actually is. My first player had 375 TPE when he went up to the big leagues. You just gotta ask around to find out how to maximize each weeks updates
