A day with Sweet as a rookie mentor. Of what a day it would be. First and foremost, Sweet would have the rookies start of their days with a bunch of blunts, no pancakes, just some cups of syrup. From there we would then begin to get a little twisted before heading out and starting the lesson/training session. From there, Sweet would show the rookies the ins and the outs of the DSFL/NSFL. Sweet would steer these young men and or women in the appropriate direction which would be the direction of super stardom. Sweet would also let the yunginz know which veterans would be there to help guide them as well as letting them know who not to fucc with *cough* *cough*. What a marvelous day ot would be for the rookies and Sweet. After dropping knowledge bombs, Sweet would then have them back at his penthouse and begin to pop bottles of that dom P nahhhimtalmbout? From there we would turn up with Chi town celebrities and all the hoez one could dream of. 2z ta 10z and errrrything in between. Sweet would let these guys wear his minks (as long as the proper paperwork to protect sweets valuables were signed) and they would party their fucking balls or clams off. Sweet would show them the Sweet life. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

As a brand new player in the S21 class I think I could provide an adequate mentoring with the knowledge I have now after a couple weeks of involvement.

I would do several walk-throughs with the Rookie. The first step is going through the create a player process. The basic info of creating a player is straightforward and something the rookie can do without me. That being said I would walk through the Rookie TPE template with them as this is something that I struggled with during the creation of my player. I would also make recommendations on which skills to focus on based on the Rookie's chosen position.

Once we have the player created I would immediately guide the new Rookie via discord to the current Activity Check and have them submit for the easy 2 TPE.

The third walk-through and the most important of all the guidance is creating the update page and explaining how it works and how to post updates. This was easily the most challenging aspect of the league that I've encountered in my first couple weeks. Once we have the Rookie's update page completed with a link to their recently completed AC, I would then give the Rookie links to the Point Task thread and the Rookie Point Task threads and let them run wild with their new player.

Finally I would make sure that they were invited to the discords and after that I believe I have put the Rookie in a place to succeed in the upcoming season.

So I have to mentor a snot nose young rookie you say, ok I will do it, we were all rookie once I guess. The 1st thing they have to do is get to the training centre early, and I mean super early, I am in at 5am for a quick gym hit followed by watching film of the previous match. Everyone else arrives and we hit the practise field, then classroom, gym and then before you go home some more time studying the opposition you are set to play so even more film. We only get 1 career so it is best to make the absolute best of it. But hey Mako isn't all work, you still have to enjoy the little things, I am generous guy and will invite the offensive rookie back to mine along with my offensive pals for BBQ, drinks and watching some UK sport, especially rugby, NSFL player can sure learn a lot from watch how rugby player play, like how to make a tackle or throw lateral. Once the party is over it is off to bed, I always remind the rookies that it is early to bed early to rise to be back at the facility for 5am and so it all over again!

Ugarth the Dissector is new to football, and during the first day of training camp his coaches in Tijuana learned that while you might be able to take the Orc out of the Sword Mountains, you couldn't take the Sword Mountains out of the Orc. Countless reminders to leave his axe in the locker room, not to take trophies from 'defeated' enemies and to set tackled players back onto the ground.

So much to learn. But to the humble Orc, these soft pink-skins are the ones in need of instruction. Instruction on the ways to best be a man. After all, none of these weaklings even wore trophies from their conquests. No horns or tusks piercing their skin, no horrific scars on their bodies, though admittedly they did sport many tattoos.

What is best in life for an Orc? To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women! If Ugarth could mentor these hapless soft-ones for a day, it would be to teach them those few lessons. Be always vicious, mercy is for the weak of body and weaker of spirit! Push until the job is done as there are no half measures in the Sword Mountains, only unfinished business. "Best effort" is a balm applied by lesser men to cure the sting of failure, the true best effort is a winning one.

Ugarth may have much to learn on the field, but these humans in their gold chains and lavish, soft tunics have much to learn off of it.

First thing, I am going to emphasize to the new member that this site is just difficult. There are specific places you need to post things to improve your player and those places can be tricky to locate in the beginning. When I first joined, It was a nightmare trying to navigate around. I was given links to places I needed to post and bookmarked them all until I learned my way around. I would also encourage them to get in any league discord channels and get engaged. The sim does what it does and a lot can’t be explained but you will hear it echoed time and time again here, “I am here for the community” or “X locker room is why I stay active.”

Next, I will point out all the ways there are to earn money around the league. Writing media is a great way to get involved and gives your character a voice. Once they have been acclimated to the day-to-day activities around here, I may encourage them to consider a league job. These jobs are essential to keep the league running smooth and a great way to supplement their bank account.

Last, I will remind them to just have fun. This is a hobby for everyone here so just make the best of it.

A rather large rookie class is coming and that sends Chicago’s war room into a panic well, except for Ryan Leaf Jr and Videl-San of course, they both have to get together and plan a workout for the upcoming rookies that could be the newest butchers.
Phase one is teaching them about which stat is worth their TPE investment, because certain stats benefit different players, for example a wide receiver needs more endurance to catch deep balls than a kicker needing extra hands. Next up is teaching how to earn the TPE they need, and help them craft inspiration to write a point task, or give the trivia answers by analyzing the index, and confirming the answers. The next thing we do in Chicago is a combine, where we test where you are at now, and determine what adjustments are needed to improve your player on and off the field, as precision is key to a player’s success on the field. Next, we give a "Getting to know you better" survey in which allows Videl-San to know you better and can help make adjustments to your workout schedule, and even get personalized workouts the Chicago way. This is quite simple on paper, but it’s proven that these routines work well with the team.
