Immanuel Blackstone hasn't won an Ultimus so he can't really speak to an Ultimus-winning celebration. In fact, he's never played in the NSFL. He's now in the DSFL so he knows that he is in the running potentially for an Ultimini victory, but this season hasn't worked out very beneficially for the Tijuana Luchadores, so Blackstone may be on the outside looking in for one more season. The most that Blackstone is able to identify with the Ultimus or Ultimini celebrations is what he has seen on TV because, in fact, he has never even been to an Ultimus championship (tickets after all are very expensive). So, from what he has seen on TV and how he has imagined his future Ultimus-winning celebrations, he doesn't have much to work with. To top it all off, Blackstone has always been a rather quiet and reserved guy. He doesn't think that this will affect him much, however, because of his celebrations he expects will be rather in private and with his closest brothers on the football team. He'll be where the action is and will try to soak up every last bit of the excitement. With his bonus he'll take a trip somewhere, somewhere probably foreign, but he won't go with a lot of people--might just be alone.

Well traditions vary from team to team. While in the NFL it’s a particular celebration, in the NSFL we leave it more up to the individual teams want to do season to season. In New Orleans, we’re all about the parades. I’m not talking an ordinary party where we drive the team around and have them give speeches at the end. This is gonna be like Julius Caesar’s Roman Triumphs if we can bring the Ultimus back to the Second Line fans. The party section, the real second line, will be anyone and everyone who is in any way supportive of the team. Everyone is welcome to join in as we bring the whole city down Bourbon street. Co General Manager Jimmy Dugan will be leading the day’s drinking events, and believe you me, that means that there will be a lot of drinking events. We’ll have chants, cheers, and general tomfoolery. With the parade we’ll have screens showing highlights and big plays from the playoffs. Memorabilia from big events in the games (balls, jerseys, etc.) will be up for auction via a lottery. We aren’t giving these to the highest bidder, anyone can get their hands on some gear. We’ll have bands leading the charge and playing fight songs the whole time. And this bad boy will last a few days.

The Orange County Otters have won the last three consecutive Ultimus championships. Armstrong is getting used to winning as he’s reached the final stage of the DSFL and NSFL seasons every year of his career. He’s getting used to winning as he’s now a 1x DSFL champion and 3x NSFL champion. After all the conference championship parties and the Ultimini and Ultimus championships, Armstrong is almost getting bored of the parties. After being named the Ultimus Offensive Player of the Game and being obligated to go to Disney World, that has probably been the only tradition that he’s had over the past few years. He’s realized that he’s not made for the party lifestyle, not a fan of the drinking and debauchery and honesty, he’s not even a fan of the city parades. What he looks forward to is chilling with his family post game and eating his mom’s cooking and hanging with his dad and brothers breaking down the game. That is probably a tradition he wants to continue for the future. Of course, there’s no guarantee he gets back to the game. He’d probably watch the big game, whether it be the Utlimini or the Ultimus if his teams were eliminated, but like was pointed out before, his team has been in the final game for 6 straight total seasons over his unfinished professional career.

I don't think there's any real tradition behind Ultimus champions besides celebrating with their teammates after the game, going home and being with their families and friends, and trying to lay low for a few weeks in the offseason. These guys play a hard game that lasts a long time from training camp all the way through the postseason and are usually all injured in some way or another throughout that entire time. They have press conferences, they have practice, they have film study, it never ends. Every player loves Sundays but it's Monday through Saturday that are the hard parts. So I think when those guys get to the top of the mountain and are on that podium and hoisting that trophy they don't want to think about anything else except to just relax and enjoy the time off that they earned. Maybe they'll go out and have some beers with friends. They'll definitely have a parade for the fans, that's an awesome way to show love for your city and them for you. But beyond that I don't think any player wants to go to Disney or anything. The young guys might want to go to Miami and hit up some strip clubs, the old guys might want to see the kids. The white guys might go golfing. Keep it simple.

The biggest traditions that the winning team follows is accepting the awards, taking their gear off in the locker room, taking the things they wore and putting them in the care of armored trucks, and finally getting on a form of transportation to the hotel the team has paid for them to sleep in. Granted at this point none of them really are in any circumstances required them to be in those hotel rooms, most of them really won't be anywhere near those hotel rooms that night. The fact that they actually stay on the field after they win is somewhat unusual. They have no real reason to stay and there's not that much that the HO can do to make sure that they do actually attend the ceremonies but it is just accepted that its the first tradition for every team to stay on the field for the final events and the announcement of the games MVP. Ever sense tom bradies super bowl jersey was taken it is now common practice for both teams to lock away their game worn gear in a bank until they are bought and received by their owners. Finaly the hotel rooms are now all bought for the night of the big game. There was an event near the begining of the league where the owner tried to same money by not keeping hotel rooms that almost all went empty. This brought however heaps of bad will with the team and caused their winnings days to end that night as multiple players left invoking their options and going other places.
