2) Playoffs MVP
I think a case could be made for several players on the Second Line for their title run. Obviously, you need good performances from several players but some really stood out. Notably, Forrest Gump for his impeccable performance in the match against the Copperheads. Unfortunately, he didn't stay that dominant in the other matches so I will go with the classic pick and choose Stan Francisco as the MVP. Yes, Gump eclipsed him in the first round match but he really showed up for the semies against probably the favourites to win YET AGAIN, the Otters, and against the Wraiths in the finals.
He wasn't horrible in the first round, with gains of 214 yards but he really shined in those last two games with over 300 yards.
What I'm impressed with about Francisco's performance too is how he didn't let the moment get to his head. With only one interception for those three games, he was able to give confidence to his teammates and make sure every possession counted. In the games against the Otters and the Wraiths, he also completed a significant number of passes and gave his team a chance to move forward. Choosing the quarterback for that question is kind of boring and safe but in this case, I think it's the logical choice.

I don't have one with this player yet obviously so I'll go with my older ones. I mean, the rookie discord is lit at the moment but I can't bullshit 200 words about it here.
For me, the highlight of all the leagues I've been in have been the drafts and this one makes no exception. It's just cool to me to think that some randos in their home somewhere probably hundreds of kilometers from me decided, "yeah, I want that person on my team". Most of the time, it has worked really well for me. I had a lot of fun with the Yeti when the league first started, even if that didn't last too long :lol:. I have better memories of my drafts with Falconi because I landed on awesome teams, both in the DSFL and on the NSFL. I won three Ultimini with the Luchadores and the team was so much fun so it was even more satisfying to win with them. And what can I say about my time with the Liberty? My only regret is not winning with them but I'll always look back on that team and my time with them fondly. Getting drafted by them was probably the best thing that happened to me on this league and while I'm ready for a career with another team now, I really wouldn't mind if they gave me a chance to play for them again.

6) Next Year
Let me start by saying I’m proud of what Dallas was able to do in our first season. We started poorly, got hot for a bit in the middle of the season, then crumbled down the stretch and missed the playoffs as a result. I think any team in the league would have struggled to stop MB on the road in that first playoff game however. Next year I see Dallas improving drastically, even with the prospect of losing several players to the NSFL. Using my masterclass draft strategy which I have passed down to my proteges, Kyle and iSteg, I expect Dallas to once again be the winners of the S22 DSFL draft. Couple that with some strong returning players, including capped QB Monty Jack, and Dallas has the potential to impress some people. We expect our rivals to be ravaged by the NSFL calling up players in this expansion season and will look to capitalize on that. We’ve been testing several new strategies for a new look offense and defense as well, and like how that looks for us early on. With some solid sim luck and a deep draft class where we’re able to effectively patch holes going into next season, there’s no reason we can’t be the Ultimus winners next season.

8) Revenge
Now two teams we were heavily favored against this season kept us out of the DSFL playoffs. These teams were my former team, Norfolk, and the Portland Pythons. As Norfolk is my former team, I was happy with their success and their strong finish to the season which landed them in the final playoff spot. Portland, however, is another story. Portland is a team that by the end of the season we were quite simply better than. I hate to be that guy, but we were testing at over a 70% chance of beating them at home. Even once we ran the post-week 14 sims we were still testing at 68%. That is a hard loss to take, especially after we nearly beat them at home earlier in the season with a much lower TPE lineup. Next season a goal of ours in Dallas is to not just beat Portland, but to beat them twice. We want the Portland faithful to experience what the Dallas fans went through this year and we won’t be satisfied until they taste that same level of defeat. Add players like Zamir Kehla, who have alienated much of the league through their antics, and the whole team is able to get behind this march for revenge.

9) Dynasty
Dallas sits at a unique turning point for the franchise this year. Next season, the NSFL will be quite full of talented young players and starting spots on teams will be rare to come by. This marks an opportunity for DSFL teams. Drafting well could land you a bevy of capped senddown players in S23 and give you the chance to continue building your team below them. This S22 DSFL draft will make or break DSFL franchises. The Dallas GMs are already ahead of the curve in scouting and have several young prospects already in the locker room getting to know the players and even some NSFL GMs. Should they be able to take advantage of this class, the potential is bright for Dallas. The opportunity to enhance the strengths and fill the gaps created by player matriculation to the NSFL is there, and I fully trust Kyle and iSteg to make the most of it. Right now, Dallas already has several useful pieces on both sides of the ball that are likely to return for another season. It won’t take much, but if the team executes in this offseason, the next 2-3 seasons will likely see us battling MB for the conference (and likely the Ultimini).

16) Scouting Report
For this scouting report I decided to go with a little talked about Dallas player who has been impressive all season, Haha Mango-Panda. This player originally created as a Quarterback in a loaded QB class. After the draft he told me he’d be willing to switch to one of our needed positions to which I supplied a list, and he chose Linebacker. After showing his dedication to helping the team in whatever way possible, he continued to contribute to the growth of the team by being a great earner and engaged in the locker room. He has since developed into one of Big Edd and I’s chief rivals as pokecord masters, but also a very speedy LB capable of playing the nickelback position with quality pass coverage and run stuffing contributions each game. He should begin his next season (whether in the DSFL or NSFL) at maxed out 90 speed and immediately begin pumping strength to bring down bigger, stronger, NSFL players. With his immense contribution to the Dallas culture, overwhelmingly positive contribution to the team in whichever way he could, and on-field production, Haha-Mango Panda finds himself on the same first LB tier as Stanislaw Koniecpolski and Derred de Ville in my eyes. He should be the third LB off of the board and I don’t see him slipping past OCO or NOLA at the end of the second round. Congrats Haha, you’ve earned your success this season and deserve nothing but future success.

10) Armchair GM
Written: What moves could your team make to improve for the next year, be it in free agency, keeping players, the draft, etc. (Please be careful to avoid tampering.)

I have the utmost confidence in my GMs to make the right moves to keep the Wraiths competitive as well as reload for the future. It’s an extremely difficult task to make it deep in the playoffs every year, and that’s exactly what they’ve done. Hell, they were smart enough to draft me after eight previous teams had no use for me. At QB we are set for the present as well long term future with Jack coming in. We have a great young RB and WR in Hanyadi and Rodriguez. With Swift getting older and us losing Gordon in the expansion draft I would try to get another WR in here, a TE as well since we don’t have one. OL is mostly a luxury pick, I think if a good one is available in round 4 or 5 that could be a possibility. Just like most other teams we could probably use a defensive lineman pick. We have two LBs for the long term so I don’t foresee a high pick there. We got a great young kicker last draft so there’s no need there. Last up is the secondary. We have Leonard and Bois as young defensive backs for the future. Unfortunately Snuggles’ and Grithead’s great careers are winding down so we’ll need to look toward the future after them. 12) Pay It Forward
Written: Write about someone in this league who you look up to or who you think of as a friend. Why do they deserve to be lauded?

The first member to come to mind is my old English buddy Raven. The guy wakes up in the morning and pisses excellence. When he’s not playing golf with the royal family he’s flying in his private jet filled with movie stars to some tropical island. He’s one of the oldest remaining members on this web site. The guy spent 12 seasons as a kicker, A KICKER. Who the hell could do that? The intestinal fortitude required is astronomical. He’s as loyal of a teammate as it gets too. His first player spent his entire career with one team. And his second player has only been with one team, but expansion will change that in s22. That brings me to my next point, I’m glad to finally see him as a GM. His players will be lucky to have him in charge. I went on a winter expedition with Raven once up in the Canadian wilderness, I was charged by a 700 pound grizzly. Raven ran in front of the bear’s path and it stopped on a dime, defecated, and ran back into the brush. He saved my life. 100% of what I wrote might not be true, but it could be. That’s why Raven should be lauded. (208 words)

16) Scouting Report
Written: Write a scouting report for one of the incoming draftees in either the NSFL or DSFL.

I wrote a large scouting report based article on players from half the DSFL teams, I’ll do a top prospect that I couldn’t get to before: LB Derred de Ville of the London Royals. He reminds me a lot of NSFL rookie Douglas Quaid of the Wraiths. Both are speed rusher archetypes and have been developing at a max rate. He is very good at building his bank account as well. He has made several long media posts and is a key member on the wiki team. That’s a lot of income per season, so affording T6 equipment shouldn’t be an issue. It looks like de Ville mostly played the “Mike” linebacker position, also known as MLB. He had 147 tackles which is a huge number, but what is most impressive to me is his 9 sacks. Usually with great LBs you usually either see a large tackles amount or a high sack number, but de Ville did both. I imagine he’s the favorite for DSFL defensive rookie of the year as well as LB of the year, maybe even DSFL defensive player of the year. I project him to be a 1st round pick, looking through the league I think he’s most likely to end up with one of the NSFL expansion teams, Honolulu or Sarasota. (217 words)

20) Nostalgia
Written: What is your happiest memory in this league?

My happiest memory is when that piece of garbage Archon quit the league. Instead of getting into depth about that I’ll describe a conglomeration of happy memories. One of the best memories you could have is researching, scouting, and ultimately selecting a player who goes on to have a hall of fame career. I was fortunate enough to have been a part of drafting five current or soon to be NSFL hall of famers: Avon Blocksdale, Owen Taylor, Trey Willie, Austin Roenick, and Verso L’Alto. All five players were superstars on and off the field. True team players, with three of them switching positions at one point in their career. Many young players aspire to have a career of that caliber. Some of these players were completely new to sim leagues and needed a nudge in the right direction, and they excelled with flying colors. All of them eventually took up vital league jobs such as Head Office, GM, updaters, and/or site owner. Looking back on the years those players spent together it was an impressive force we built. As that group has branched off in different directions they carry on what they learned and inspire a new generation of players who have a chance at greatness of their own. (211 words)

1. Playoff Review
Since the NSFL playoffs are already completed, I'm going to review the National Sim Football Conference Championship Game between the Baltimore Hawks and the Yellowknife Wraiths. The Wraiths got to this game by an impressive upset over the second best team the NSFC, the Colorado Yeti. We didn't know it yet, but this would be Corvo Havran's final game as a Baltimore Hawk. The first quarter was completely silent for both teams, but the worst ten minute(and four minute) stretch of Baltimore football occurred in the second quarter. Starting off with about 14 minutes left in the second quarter, the Wraiths kicked a field goal to take a 3-0 lead, but Baltimore's offense continued to sputter and Yellowknife then began to run up the score. They first scored a touchdown with about eight minutes left in the quarter, then had a pick six about three minutes later, and then forced a three and out, had a 76 yard punt return, and easily scored to finally put the score at 24-0. In just four minutes of play, the Wraiths outscored what the Hawks would put up for the rest of the game. The Hawks clawed their way back to a respectable 24-19 loss, but it still stung immensely and it was a disappointing show for Baltimore.

6. Next Year
Since the Hawks are transitioning to a rookie QB next season, it's pretty unlikely that they'll be able to win the Ultimus or even make the playoffs next year. However, last season we saw the incredible run of Jay Cue, and it's definitely possible that a rookie QB could once again dominate the league given the right weapons. Our quarterback is already going to start with one of the most dynamic RB duos in the league with Apollo Reed and Darrel Williams, so that will help the run game immensely and make sure that we can run the ball efficiently as well as move through the air. Both of these running backs have decent abilities to catch passes out of the backfield, so they'll be good checkdown options for our rookie quarterback. As well, we should be bringing back Errol Maddox and are developing some young receiver talent that will be able to help our quarterback. If we aren't able to pull it out in S22, S23 will be promising as our quarterback will continue to improve along with the majority of our roster. Draft classes in both S22 and S23 will help a ton to improve the roster in the future, and Baltimore has a good chance to dominate the league in a few seasons if all the pieces come together.

9. Dynasty
I already talked about basically this same topic in Task 6, but there's still more to add on why the future of the Baltimore Hawks is looking up. Our team is getting a lot younger, and while that might hurt us now, the timing of the large S22 and S23 classes will allow the Hawks to get a ton of young talent that will fit us well in our window of contention that will be coming up in a few seasons. With great drafting and continued retention of key players, there is a decent chance that the Baltimore Hawks will be able to pick up a few playoff appearances and maybe even an Ultimus or two. This does depend significantly on the quality of our draft selections in the next few drafts, and hoping that the expansion teams struggle continually and give us plenty of free wins for the next few seasons. While this team is probably not ready to win next season or even for a couple of seasons after that, the groundwork for a successful rebuild has been set. It now just comes down to if the Baltimore Hawks management can successfully return the team to the promise land. Time will definitely tell if the Baltimore Hawks can become the dynasty of the future.

11. Rivalry
Once again, the Yellowknife Wraiths continue to be a thorn in our side, and for the second straight season, I rate them as the Baltimore Hawks top rival. They play a similar style of football as the Hawks, but they always seem to either be able to manage it better or use it well in big moments, such as the S21 NSFCCG. At least since I've joined the league back at the tail end of S18, the Wraiths have always had a good roster and arguably a better one than the Hawks have had. This loss in the playoffs against them was especially brutal, and it's really tough to swallow something like that when it's against your biggest rival in one of the biggest games the Hawks have played in recent memory. It hurts even more because of the rebuild that we are likely heading into after the conclusion of the twenty-first season of the National Simulation Football League. Knowing that the Wraiths were the team to destroy our Ultimus chances still stings, but at least it was nice seeing the New Orleans Second Line come out on top in the S21 Ultimus. Seeing Yellowknife as the champs every day for the next month and a half would be very, very annoying for Baltimore Hawks players.

4) OL or K/P Appreciation

Although I did not predict them to win the Ultimus, it doesn't shock me that the New Orleans Second Line won the league championship. They are the only team in the league that has two human offensive linemen - Givussafare Rubbe (S18 807TPE) and Brave Ulysses (S15 727TPE). I'm a bit of a human offensive tackle aficionado and have done extensive work trying to quantify how valuable it is to have a human offensive tackle. In general, two human offensive tackles above 650TPE are worth around a 2.5% increase to a team's winning percentage over 750TPE bot offensive tackles. That win% gap is only going to be higher when comparing the 650TPE+ human offensive tackles to 550TPE bot offensive tackles, which are the bots that most teams choose to use. New Orleans has capitalized the best on their offensive line potential, which is why both of their human offensive tackles - Rubbe and Ulysses - deserve praise. They're playing an underappreciated position that has a huge effect on a team's chance of winning. An extra 2.5% or 3% chance of winning a game can go a long way when you're trying to strategize and maximize your chances of winning an Ultimus.

Both of these players are also on salaries cheaper than their bot linemen counterparts would be paid. They're saving around $4 million apiece - $8 million total - by having two human offensive tackles. This allowed the Second Line to invest that money, which is equivalent to 10% of the salary cap, into other areas of the teams. This increased investment and increased chances of winning games wouldn't be possible without their two human offensive linemen. They are easily one of the most important parts of New Orleans' championship formula.

6) Next Year

The Dallas Birddogs had an exemplary year for an expansion team in the DSFL. Without send downs the team managed to secure a 5-9 record and controlled their destiny in the playoff hunt until the last two games of the season. With as many as twelve players expected to eclipse the 200TPE mark by the NSFL draft, Dallas is set up to dominate the NSFL draft. Although many of these high TPE players are expected to be early contributors on NSFL teams, the draft is so deep several will inevitably sent back down. This will leave Dallas in a great position, returning several high TPE players who can immediately contribute on the field and be veteran presences in the locker room. The team has begun to craft their league wide persona as a team that drafts well and has an entertaining locker room as well, meaning it should be desirable spot for new DSFL rookies. If the Birddogs front office can draft as successful in the upcoming DSFL draft as they did in the last one they should acquire more solid contributors that will be able to be immediate contributors on the team as well. Guided by the returning players and alumni in the locker room, the new Birddog recruits will have a great template to model themselves by. This is a formula that leads to success in the DSFL and is why the Birddogs are a team on the rise next season.

12) Pay It Forward

The last month and a half have been wild. I joined the forums on February 17th, and in the short time since then have fallen in love with the league. My commitment to the league is best represented through my dedicated media and sim work. None of this would have been possible, however, without Kyle and Gucci helping me get started. They both deserve equal praise in teaching me the mechanics of the league. They did an excellent job in building an expansion locker room that was fun to be in. The personalities they brought together meshed perfectly and created a cohesive environment that made it easy to want to spend time chatting with everyone. The more time I spent on discord and in the locker room directly correlated to more time I spent working on things for the league. Gucci took an hour on my first day in the locker room to walk me through every step of how to update a player, where to get TPE, and what I should be focusing on. He's the person who helped me acquire the sim so I could begin to test all my theories. Kyle has been equally as supportive of my work, always being willing to serve as a sounding board for my ideas. I constantly pester both of these individuals with questions, ideas, and theories each day. Without them, I wouldn't understand as much as I do about the league and I wouldn't be as invested as I am. I cannot thank them enough.

18) Awards Season

I think that there is an obviously choice for General Manage of the Year in the DSFL. Gucci and Kyle built an expansion team from the ground up. The Dallas Birddogs controlled their own destiny in the playoff hunt up until the last two games of the regular season, an astonishing feat for a team with no send downs. From the beginning of the year, the Birddogs were playing catch-up. Other teams started off with several high TPE send downs and were able to perform at a higher level, however Dallas was able to steal some games off of those teams due to strong strategic planning from the Dallas war room that Gucci and Kyle put together.

As the season went on, the Birddogs began to perform better and better. Across the board the players that they had drafted were beginning to catch up to the league in TPE. The rate at which the players began to catch to up league average was fueled by the successful draft that Kyle and Gucci orchestrated. They managed to secure the second highest TPE quarterback out of the draft in Monty Jack, the highest and second highest TPE running backs, the highest TPE wide receiver, the highest TPE tight end, two 200+ TPE defensive tackles - one of which came at pick 155, the second highest TPE defensive end, and two 200+ TPE linebackers - one of which was the highest TPE linebacker in the class while the other was one of the best draft steals since he was picked at 74. Two of the positions they were weakest at after the draft, cornerback and safety, ended up being solidified with good value picks - they got a 200+ TPE cornerback at pick 147 and a 200+ TPE safety at pick 42. From draft steals, to strategic gameday decisions, to fostering a good locker room environment, Gucci and Kyle set up the Birddogs for success and should be a shoe-in for General Manager of the Year.

16) Scouting Report
Written: Write a scouting report for one of the incoming draftees in either the NSFL or DSFL.

Mo "Mamba" Magic is a defensive tackle out of the University of British Columbia, standing at 6'3" and weighing in at 305 pounds. He has always been a freak athlete, playing multiple sports and quickly caught the eye of many recruiters. He was extremely productive in high school and was quickly the talk of the town. It didn't take long for recruits to put him down as a 5-star recruit but he decided to commit to a smaller, local school in Canada instead of the highly touted colleges in the United States. Ultimately, the move proved to be beneficial for Mo Magic since the Minnesota Grey Ducks decided to draft him in the 3rd round of the Season 21 DSFL draft. He has a rare combination of speed and strength that doesn't come along very often and it seems as though multiple teams were interested in his services. It could be said that Mo Magic is a little undersized for his position but he still has a few years of growth left and it will be interesting to see how he develops in a professional setup. He needs to improve a little bit on his agility and hands but once he can start working with the pro coaches, there's no ceiling high enough to stop him.

17) Sponsorships
Written: You’ve been contacted to appear in a company’s ad airing during the Ultimus. What is the ad about?

Since my team wasn't able to make it to the playoffs in the DSFL, I was very much available for everything that was getting thrown at me in terms of sponsorship deals. Being one of the most exciting prospects in the upcoming draft does have some perks, including companies contacting you daily to be in their newest campaign. My agent was working super hard to put together a set of sponsorships that he thought would work best for me. My main request was that I got the most exposure I could and that's why I took a TV deal. The company that I decided to go with was none other than State Farm. They've had a ton of experience doing advertisements with football players and they were offering me a fantastic deal. They basically had me involved in a skit with other DSFL prospects. My skit involved me running and catching a car and then tackling it, which led to them talking about car insurance. It was pretty fun to do and of course, nobody was injured. I enjoyed doing it and told my agent that if any other opportunities came up, that I would jump on them. Especially with the DSFL draft coming up around the corner, the most exposure I get, the better it is for me.

18) Awards Season
Written: Make the case for one of your teammates to win an award at the NSFL or DSFL levels. What have they done to earn the nod?

It's pretty unfortunate that the Minnesota Grey Ducks weren't able to make the playoffs and that might be a big factor when it comes to voting for awards. There have been a few players that have had exceptional seasons, such as Lawrence Bass and Sebastien Vettel, but I think one player that should definitely be in consideration for the defensive back of the year award should be Buck Thornton. Thornton was selected in the first round of the DSFL draft with the 8th overall pick and in his rookie season has been the best strong safety in the league. In the 14 games he played this season, he had 64 tackles, 3 forced fumbles, 6 sacks, 2 interceptions, 2 passes defended and one defensive touchdown. Thornton has been a force in every situation he has been put in. He can blitz and get to the QB quickly, proving just that as he finishes the season with the league lead in sacks for a defensive back. He has great hands and intelligence, which allows him to think quickly and punch the ball out of the hands of the opposing players. Like I said before, the committee might discount him because Minnesota didn't have the best year as a team but his individual statistics tell a different story. He came into the league and immediately made a significant impact with some of the top defenders in the league.

19) Team Culture
Written: What is it about your team’s culture and/or locker room that makes you happy to be there? If there are any problems, what do you think should be done to improve them?

In my very short stint in the Minnesota Grey Ducks organization, I feel as though I have built a great connection with the players and management to a point that I want to return to the team the next season. With that being said, the draft process is always an interesting one and I'm excited to see what sort of interest my player is going to bring. However, I enjoy being apart of the locker room and like the way the direction of the team is headed. Everyone is super nice and helpful and have welcomed me to their team with open arms. It's very easy for a new player to join a group of guys that have been together for almost the entire season and be left out. But the reception that I got was very different. I was able to get some great advice on how the league works and what sort of direction my player should take to become one of the most successful players in my draft class. It's helped me in the few weeks that I've been here work on a few things in training that I've been lacking to become a well-rounded cornerback. I haven't encountered any problems and don't see any reason for me not to be happy being apart of a healthy locker room.

[Big Edd]

7) Robbed

Looking at our roster on paper, the Dallas Birddogs look like the meanest, baddest, and best team in the league in general. We really are not lacking anything position wise. We also happen to have most of the top TPE earners in the DSFL, which should help us win a lot of games. But, that is what is so confusing about our 5 and 9 record. It truly doesn't not reflect who we are as a team and how had we have worked this season. The sim straight up bullied us, especially in the last four games to close out the season when it mattered most. There are one too many instances where the sim decide to go stupid and ruin our chances at making the playoffs. For example, every single game the opposing team would always have at least one huge kick return that they either scored on, or utilized to their advantage because of the great field possession. Other instances include the two times we were driving down the field with less than a minute remaining on the clock. Both times started and ended very similarly. We would drive down the field with ease, and once we reached near the redzone, the sim would do what the sim has done to us all season and make Monty Jack throw a dumb interception. It relly is unfortunate that it happened, but oh well.

12) Pay It Forward

This one right here is a pretty easy one. Everyone around the league I consider my "friend", especially the people I play with on that DAllas Birddog roster. But the one individual that I truly consider my real friend in the NSFL is going to be @furiousPanda, also known as Panda around the locker room. The dude is nothing but a really nice guy and and really enjoys helping out everyone in the discord. He is definitely one of the more underrated players around the league. Which is a shame because the dude is a baller. He is always grinding and looking for that TPE, I think he is at 217 right now. But keep in mind, Panda and I do not only converse about these that would pertain to the NSFL, we also like to talk about other things in life especially sports and football. The one thing that has become pretty much a daily thing is we compete with one an another in the pokecord to see who can snag the as many of the best pokemon as they can. Currently, we are on a little scavenegr hunt thing searching for the mythical legendary pokemon Mewtwo. It's a heated competition and can't wait to see who catches that MewTwo first.

16) Scouting report

I could not decide who I wanted to do this scouting report, so I went with the most unselfish choice, Big Edd. Big Edd came into the league as a nobody. He was not a too great of an earner and was not active at all. Besides a bit of in depth scouting, most GM's had not known who Big Edd even was. At the Prospect Bowl, Edd put on a show posting a couple of sacks and tackles for losses, and since then he has been a totally different player. Edd is very active around the Dallas discord and General chat discord. He is on pretty much everyday and has also demonstrated that he is no slacker when it comes to gaining TPE. He is currently at 209 TPE and looks to continue gaining TPE in the nsfl. In the locker room, Edd is nothing but a great dude. He enjoys intereacting with everyone in the discord and tends to catch a lot of pokemon in Dallas's discord. He is quite the comedian so whoever picks him up and draft is going to really love him. He has the ability to bring life to a locker room and his personality is one that everyone can get along with.

19) Team Culture

The Dallas Birddog team culture has to be the best. Every day it seems like we are having a party. There is rarely a day where the discord is quiet and no one is talking. Also, the team has a wide variety of personalities and people. GM's Stego and Kyle tend to be the more serious ones in the discord, but are still great individuals to converse with. Gucci can also be added to that group because he was once the GM. These have worked hard to maintain a "play hard, but play fun" mentality all season. This has allowed the Birddogs to just chillax and still continue to put forth hard work. Big Edd and Panda tend to be the jokester in that Locker room. Thiath is a really cool dude that enjoys speaking about whatever is on his mind. He also started a super dope book club , I cannot wait for the next meeting. All the other Birddogs who I have not mentioned all contribute to the locker room in their own way and this creates a great team environment . If you take all these factors together, I assure you that you have the best locker room in the entire league. I enjoy hopping discord and talking with all these guys.

Playoff Predictions, Reviews:
I had to definitely do a review of the Ultimus game from this season. The Yellowknife Wraiths overcame quite a few challenges on their way to the big game and defied all expectations beating the Colorado yeti in the opening round and the Baltimore Hawks in the NSFC semi-finals. The Wraiths had a paltry 7-6 record compared to the New Orleans Second Line who had disposed of the perennial playoff competitors in Orange County. Unfortunately for the Wraiths, their curse continued this season as they were absolutely dominated by the Second Line defense. They had some momentum on their side and only had 3 penalties compared to New Orleans’ 5. Second Line controlled this game from start to finish scoring 2 touchdowns in the first quarter and a field goal in the second while the Wraiths offense struggled immensely. The Wraiths seem to put together a few successful plays but it was simply too late as New Orleans continued their onslaught of offense scoring a field goal and touchdown in the third quarter and another in the fourth. The pressure on the Wraiths affected Cooter in a big way and he couldn’t recover as the Wraiths offensive line wasn’t able to contain the rush defense. 3 sacks, 2 pass deflections, 1 forced fumble, and another recovery for the Second Line was too much for the Wraiths.

OL or K/P Appreciation
Kickers are people too and I think the Second Line kicker, Herbert Prohaska, played a big part in the team’s success throughout the playoffs. Prohaska had a 100% game against Austin, getting 2 extra points and 2 field goals outside 40 yards. That’s an impressive feat and it kept New Orelans ahead of Austin during key stretches. His performance was even more impressive against the Orange County Otters. This game was very close as New Orleans ran up a 17-3 lead by the half, but Orange Country rallied back to tie it up at the end 24 all. At the beginning of overtime, it was apparent that this game would come down to a field goal for either team. New Orleans started overtime and with a great ground attack by Gump and Toriki, Proshaka had a great shot at hitting the field goal from 46 yards. It was good and the Otters struggled to get closer by the end of the overtime period. Proshaka won that game for them no question. Although it wasn’t a perfect performance in the Ultimus, Proshaka had ¾ extra points made and 2 field goals. He’s proven to be solid in the 40-49 yard range and that’s what makes this offense so dangerous because the run game can get him into scoring position easily.

1. What do you think were the highlights of this season for the Colorado Yeti as a team?

The highlights were certainly feeling like we were taking a step forward this season. There is a new energy on the team from what I'm told, and you can tell that people are just excited about the future. So, in this way, I think its a good fit for me. This is what I thrive on.

2. What are your favorite plays from the playoff game against YKW?

Definitely my sack. I mean that's the highlight of a defensive end's play. That's why he does what he does and to me there's no better feeling. And for it to happen in a playoff game was extra special. I really felt the tide turning overall after that play, but unfortunately we weren't able to get it done.

3. What are you looking forward to next season?

It's just a great time to be a Yeti. We are a young team too so I'm looking forward to seeing what we can do as a unit, especially with some of the young pups we got like Rotticus Scott and Gronk Robertkowski.

4. What are some of the ways that the Yeti can improve in the off-season?

I think we still have a great roster overall with very few holes. Of course, no one knows what is going to happen with the expansion draft. So that's a real wildcard. But I'm confident in our GMs and that they will find a way for us to pull through it. I think we will focus on game planning as well. Because we really need to win those close games and close a game

1. As a user how has it been reuniting with a team, the Pythons, with whom you have a long history? How has the team changed since then?
It’s been a very long time since I’ve been with the Pythons as a player so it was nice of the current Portland GMs to pick me up off waivers considering my history with the team. I had a chance to play for the Pythons as Axel Hornbacher in DSFL S11 and that was a great run with a near perfect record. I’m honored to be back with them and I hope that I can be drafted to play for them in the future.

2. What are your thoughts and expectations going into the DSFL playoffs?
I had a glimmer of hope going into the DSFL playoffs. The Pythons were only 1 game behind Kansas City and the top 4 teams in the DSFL were very close this season so it could have gone anyone’s way easily. I thought we had a shot to upset them, especially O’Donnell being as highly rated as he was. Both teams have great offenses, so it really came down to who had the better defense on playoff day to hold out.

3. What are your thoughts and expectations going into the draft?
I don’t have any expectations going into this draft. I’m hoping to be drafted by the Portland Pythons considering my history with the team, but I know that there are some other teams in the DSFL that could use a starting quarterback right away and I’m hoping to start day one.

4. What kind of QB are you trying to create? Are there any QBs in the NSFL or NFL that you are modeling your career after?
I’m looking to create a highly intelligent and efficient quarterback with the Game Manager archetype. We haven’t really seen a quarterback in the NSFL with that archetype thrive at the highest levels as it’s mostly been Pocket Passers who have made it to the top of the TPE earnings. Kevin Fitzpatrick was a Game Manager quarterback who almost broke 1,000 TPE, but flamed out last minute so I’m hoping to break this record as a quarterback.

1. Playoff Review

The Kansas City Coyotes put up a dominant season to get to the Ultimini. Racing towards a season record, at the last hurdles before playoffs begun, the 9-3 Coyotes stumbled and lost the number 1 seed and by extension the home field advantage that came with it. The Ultimini was always coming down to KCC vs MBB, but the Buccs showed once again that they truly had the edge on Kansas City. Although KC were playing away, they put up a strong fight in the first half and ended only 4 points behind going into half 2. But the KC offence just couldn’t get rolling. MB’s run stop game forced a series of 3 and outs that never stopped. Overall, our run game was contained to 3.6 yards per carry, and our total offence could only muster 281 yards. 101 yards less than the buccaneers. Can’t even blame the penalties for this loss either, as KC actually received less penalties than MB, but the real cog in the KC offence was the terrible 3rd down conversion rate. Completing only 6 out of 15. Constant short dump off passes on 3rd and 11 were never going to get this team rolling, but the defensive backs on the Buccs team are some of the most solid in the league, and the YeetSquad just couldn’t get around them in this one. Final score ended 27-10, but the Coyotes have a lot to be proud of this season, even though it didn’t end the way we had hoped.

19. Team Culture

After being selected by the Kansas City Coyotes in the S21 DSFL draft, I felt a immediate liking to the teams locker room. There was a lot of hype from our GMs Starboy and butters, as well as KC alumni. And after each selection, a draftee would enter the locker room and the hype would continue and be tremendous fun. This kept on for the entire season. Everyone vibes off each other and has a great time. Our resident TE Tree Gelbman gave us the name Team of misfit toys. Meaning individually in our own way, we’re whacky and strange, but as a team we sync up effortlessly. Each game day comes around and the team gets super hyped and counting down the hours til kickoff. What I found truly exceptional about the coyotes though was how much talent that exuded from every position, right the way through to our kicker extraordinaire Matty McDairmid. They didn’t focus heavy on one positional group. Sure, the wide receiver core was one of the best in the league, but I honestly believe a lot of that success comes straight from the locker room. Being around all these guys that are making efforts and putting in the time to improve themselves, make you want to go out and do the exact same thing. That’s what makes the Kansas City locker room so special.

7. My first season in the DSFL was a lot of fun fun a lot of heart break in the end. The Tijuana Luchadores started the season with a long streak of 1-1 game series keeping us in the high middle of the pack of our division. Then we had a huge 2-0 series where I got the game winning field goal and I thought it was all up from there! But disaster struck when then right after we went 0-2, which was awful for our lead in our division. I really did not think it could get any worse for out team but hey!! how about another 0-2 series. We dropped 4 straight and our playoff hopes were dashed when we could everyone else who needed to pulled it out in the last 2 weeks and we could not cut it with a 1-1 series. after 4 straight losses, it was pretty much like the last 2 weeks did not matter. I'm 100 percent sure we were robbed of a chance in the playoffs, but that didn't make the playoffs any less interesting to watch. I'll congratulate the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers and the New Orleans Second Line, but I can also imagine a world where we have our team on that winners list.

19. Joining the Tijuana Luchadores locker room as a dude from New Zealand was a huge culture shock and change but it took me less than 10 minutes to feel welcomed. I was taught very little spanish in New Zealand so ending up in a place called the "vestuario" didn't make any sense to me... well that was until I learned it just meant "Locker Room" haha! I had never played American Football in college, but it wasn't my first time in a locker room, thanks football I mean soccer! But I had not experienced anything like this. I WAS LOST!! I had no idea how to spend my money, or even train with other people! I need to thank my mentor, Ultimus Winner, Mason Blaylock who taught me everything there is to know about this league. I donot know if I will join the Second Line when the draft rolls around but no matter what I cannot wait to play with him in the "Major Leagues"! The NSFL will not know what hit them, and in case I do not get drafted or get regulated back to the DSFL, I hope my Luchadores will be happy to open their arms and invite me back to their awesome team!

20. My guess for a lot of people that their best moment is either their first "major league" game or the night they got drafted, but I could be wrong, while those were awesome moments, my favorite moment this season and so far in my career was receiving the Week 8 Offensive Player of the Game for my team the Tijuana Luchadores. In week 8 for the Luchadores, I punted 8 times for 362 yards with a 45.2 avg, I also went 2 for 2 on extra points, 2 for 2 on Field Goals and this included the best moment A HUGE GAME WINNER! Being a kicker is kind of an odd position. You are normally only mentioned if you miss a kick or make a game winner and thankfully that just seemed to be the situation this time around! The Luchadores were down by 1 point with 25 seconds left in the game, and with no other options I was called up to bat... I remember shaking with fear, nervousness, and excitement of what could be. The snap was perfect, the placement was perfect and the kick was perfect... I kicked it right down the middle and Luchadores would go on to our only 2-0 series last season.
