Post season is the most exciting time of the year whether or not it’s clear upsets, seeing if a team will finally win that damn Ultimus (Damn you Yellowknife), or what drama will occur during the postseason. In the Developmental Sim Football League is have to say that the Minnesota Grey Ducks are the clear favorites to win the whole thing, they have been near unstoppable this season after a so win year last. The dark horse could might as well be the Tijuana Luchadores. Even with their season and topping their conference they will have to be hosted by the Grey Ducks but they will be able to compete against them hopefully. DSFL is always an interesting time until it’s not. In the nsfl I don’t even want to say Yellowknife is the clear favorites because what season are they not and they still lose the damn thing. But Once again I believe they won’t blow it this season and will finally win the thing for the first time since S11. Which is ironic because it’s been double the time since they won it so maybe it’s a sign that they will finally win it. The dark horse of the nsfl playoffs is probably the Austin Copperheads as they are on a huge winning streak with all the momentum in the god damn universe and could easily take on the remainder of the ASFC

The road to glory is a simple one for Yellowknife. Having already secured the top seed throughout the playoffs, we only have one goal is mind. Righting the wrongs of the previous 4 years. What could have been unrivalled success has become a joke within the league. But this team is different. The best team offensively, the best team defensively and stars all over the field and they will not be stopped.
Our opposition still have the chance to make their way to second place. Sarasota at Colorado will be a big game for the two teams involved. A playoff appearance in their rookie year for the new kids on the block Sarasota, can they make it a playoff win? The resurgent Yeti, a strong force in the regular season as they have been for a couple of years, but playoff success has always eluded them. 3 wins in 12 playoff games is the worst record in the league outside of expansion team Chicago and the Yeti find themselves with a home game in the wildcard, the same as last year. In the ASFC, the Copperheads are on a hot streak, coming back from 1-4-1 to a 7 game winning streak to secure home field in the wildcard. You always want to find form come crunch time, and Austin have done just that. Orange County always dominant, and a 2 year dry spell from the big game is almost unheard of in recent times for their team. But all teams will be playing second fiddle to the Wraiths... ![]() Code: 258 words ![]() Code: 248 words The New Orleans Second Line didn't have a great season. They lost games they should have won, narrowly beat teams they should have handled easily, and besides a four-game stretch in the second half of the season, they were largely unable to string together wins. Nevertheless, the Second Line are still the defending champions, and are therefore still the team to beat. The team that once struggled to put together a winning season now finds itself making regular playoff appearances, and that kind of strength from season to season is a key feature of championship-caliber teams. So, if you're asking me who I think will win the Ultimus this season, my answer should be obvious: the New Orleans Second Line. But who will we play in the big game? This season, I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if the Colorado Yeti make it to the Ultimus. The Wraiths might be the NSFC darling, but Colorado was one of two teams who actually beat them this season (if you're wondering, New Orleans was the other). The Yeti have depth and talent on their roster, and they certainly know how to win games. Many people have already written them off for various reasons, but I suspect that the Yeti will ruin a lot of predictions and surprise nearly everyone with their showing in the playoffs this season. Whoever wins, I have a feeling it will be a postseason for the ages.
Austin Copperheads planned early on that they were going for the title this season. Even as far back as the Draft to when they traded for star running back Ryan Leaf Jr and boy has that delivered. Austin started off incredibly slow and only managed one win in their first 6 games. Even though they boasted the best team in TPE terms, they were sitting bottom of the ASFC conference at 1-4-1. Nevertheless, the tables turned and the team shifted into another gear and would go on to dominate the rest of their games to end with a 7 game win streak to finish 8-4-1 and claim the 2nd seed in their conference and 3rd seed overall. Now that playoffs have come I expect Austin to keep the fire and momentum they’ve built to make a superb run at the title. First they host New Orleans in the wildcard game. This should be a fun and tough game but it’s not hard at all to see Austin coming out on top here, after scorching the Second Line 33-6 in their own house in week 12. This week they’ll have home field advantage to take them down. Next will be onto Orange County which will be very tough and the battle of the 79 speed QBs in Franklin Armstrong and Easton Cole. This will be a game you wont want to miss. And seeing as Yellowknife should almost certainly make the Ultimus given their overall weak conference.. That’ll certainly be a Austin win as everyone knows, theres nothing Yellowknife are better at than choking in the Ultimus.

At the time of writing this, my team is out of the playoff picture. This makes me sad since I wanted to write about how Kansas City was going to do in the playoffs but alas, our luck ran out and we tied with Portland for last place. In looking at the DSFL playoff picture, I think we’ve got a couple teams that might surprise everyone. The SFC features a strong Norfolk Seawolves and Tijuana Luchadores and despite having home field advantage, I think Norfolk might surprise them. The two teams have split their games 1-1 during the regular season. Oddly enough they both beat each other on the road, but I have to give Norfolk the edge here since their loss at home was a close one. I don’t think the London Royals have a shot against Minnesota. They are simply the superior team compared to London and won’t be able to beat them. The Royals lost to the Grey Ducks twice in the regular season and these convincing wins show how London isn’t really prepared to handle them on Minnesota turf. I think the team to beat is Minnesota and they will overcome Norfolk in the Ultimini game. Snowbow has been decent for them, but I think the x-factor in this game is Lackson. He’s going to go off in the playoffs and help them win it all.
There's a lot to talk about with such a few words but I will give it my best shot. I am of course going to say that I can see the Austin copperheads coming out on top in the playoffs and hopefully running all the way through to get that ring. We have one 7 games now in a row and so three more games can't be too difficult can it? I very much hope to be a vital player for Austin in the postseason while I am now in a backfield committee with leaf Junior nevertheless will run game is more important than ever for our Tactics and a chance to win. I am hoping and praying that Austin will first beat New Orleans and then when will beat Orange County. From the NSFC it is hard to look past the yellowknife however if anyone has a chance of stopping them in that division then it would be the Colorado Yeti. In my experience you really shouldn't worry about the team from the NSFC so it's long as Austin can make that final game then a second win in 3 Seasons will be ours. So all I can say now is hiss hiss baby.

Well this is late. My team that I was going to go for is just gone out of the playoff race. Pretty sad. You know whats also sad? Me not having any more teams to choose since NOLA is out of the playoffs as well. Guess theres only one thing to do. Predict next years season. The Portland Pythons had a disappointing season especially after a good draft. Many close games, random penalties, and losing to Norfolk twice again. After the bad season, I have a sense of hope. Hope that next year will be the year for the Pythons to show who they really are. If they have the same good draft like last year and the sim gods give mercy to us. We have a chance at the ultimi. However, the NFC won't play easy on us. The Grey ducks are looking to lock up a slot in the ultimi. The Royals somehow became really strong in the past season. And the Coyotes.... yeah I got nothing. If the rest of the NFC teams decide to move up to the NSFL, then we have a chance at going 14-0. Oh wait nevermind, the sim gods came back and fucked us again.
