S23 Hall of Fame Ballot Results

As a quick summary, in order to be inducted into the Hall of Fame a player needs to be voted in by 2/3 of voters - if they receive 1/3 of the votes they will stay on the ballot for the next season.

As was passed in the S23 Rules Summit, we have formed a Hall of Fame Committee! It has come to my attention that I haven't ever announced who is on this. We offered several esteemed users the opportunity to be on the HOF Committee, and we were lucky enough to have 8 users accept: ADwyer87, bwestfield, iamslm22, JuOSu, manicmav36, PigSnout, run_cmc, and myself!

With these eight, our requirements are 6 votes to be inducted and 3 votes to stay on the ballot.

Now, I'm pleased to introduce our newest members of the International Simulation Football League Hall of Fame! Welcome to the Hall of Fame:

Verso L'Alto started his career in S7 and played 13 seasons, 12 with the Baltimore Hawks and 1 with the Colorado Yeti. The legendary tight end finished as a 2x Utlimus Champion (S10 and S15), an 8x Pro Bowler, 4x Tight End of the Year, and Offensive Rookie of the Year. L'Alto served as a key cog in any offense he was in, finishing his career with the second most career receptions.

Vinny Valentine was drafted as part of the S9 class to Baltimore, and would play 10 total seasons in the league - 6 seasons with Baltimore, 1 season with Orange County, 2 seasons with Arizona, and 1 season with New Orleans before finally retiring. The 8x Pro Bowler's trophy case contains 2x Ultimus Championships (S10, S15), Offensive Player of the Year (S16), 3x Wide Receiver of the Year, Returner of the Year, and Breakout Player of the Year. Valentine also has set his place statistically in the top ranks of league history, finishing T-6th in receiving TDs, 9th in receiving yards, and T-2nd in punt return TDs.

Verso L'Alto and Vinny Valentine are the 15th and 16th players to receive a unanimous induction to the Hall of Fame, joining Ian Bavitz, Mike Boss, Dan Miller, Reg Mackworthy, Angus Winchester, Owen Taylor, Dermot Lavelle, Paul DiMirio, Trey Willie, Dean Jackson, Andre Bly Jr, Austin Roenick, Borkus Maximus III, and Mason Brown.

Now, we move on to the User Hall of Fame! For the first season, we inducted three users to this wing. In our second season, we inducted two users. This season and all future seasons, we will be inducting ONE user to this prestigious wing.

This season's inductee has served in several positions in the league, most notably serving as the league's owner since S8. He served as both a member of Head Office and as DSFL Commissioner from S4 through S7, and served as the head of recruitment from S14 through S18. On the gridiron, this user was the Baltimore Hawks GM from S8-S13 and stepped in as the emergency Philadelphia Liberty Co-GM in S18. Please welcome our newest User HOF member:
