Despite the temptation to support my fellow OL Bruce Buckley, I believe wide receiver Saba Donut currently has the best shot at winning a positional award. He leads all receivers in catches with 53 (3rd overall, behind James Angler and Jeffery Phillips), is tied with Deondre Thomas-Fox for the lead in receiving yards with 916 (over 60 more than the next closest player) and is tied for 4th in TDs among receivers. Witheblock and Sakura have one more TD, but trail by ~200 and ~250 respectively. The league leader in receiving TDs with 7, Asher Quinn, trails by ~330 yards. His main competition for the award is DTF, but while they are tied in yards, Saba has more catches and one more touchdown. Team record is a wash at the moment, with both teams standing at 6-4 and on pace for a playoff berth. While the Outlaws have thrown the ball more than the Sabercats (meaning DTF has better stats relative to his team), it's important to note that the Outlaws also have much better supporting cast, with Heath Evans and Thomas Passmann also having excellent season. It'll definitely be a close race, but if he keeps consistently producing en route to a playoff appearance, Saba Donut is on pace to take home WRotY for the second year in a row.

As we reach the midway point of the season there are a number of London Royals players who are showing great numbers which may well put them in line for awards come the end of the season.
First round pick DE Albert Ruschmann ties the lead in tackles for a loss in the whole league with 10. The one real blot on his paper right now is a lack of registered sacks, but I’d expect that to change over the coming weeks as the player is working hard on the training field each day. If this happens he will put himself right into contention for Defensive Lineman of the year award – fingers crossed. Now we all know that kickers are people too, and the London Royals have one of the best on their hands. Jake Fencik is 100% from his 15 XCs and his only FG misses have been ones over 40 yards. As a punter, Fencik has broken 2000 yards, taking 6 of his 49 punts inside the 20. I’d expect this form to continue and for him to be in contention for both Kicker and Punter of the year awards. Finally, Linebackers. Now ignoring my own personal achievements (not bad for a 10th rounder) there are two big hitters in the London Royals locker room who I’d expect to be running each other close all year. Busch Light is showing a right turn of form recently, hitting 14 of his 60 tackles in the narrow loss to the Kansas City Coyotes. That said, my best bet for the Linebacker of the Year award is Juan Domine. He’s the league leading LB for TFLs with five and joint leader in the whole league for sacks with six. Could this form lead to a challenge for overall Defensive player of the Year? If he keeps it up, who knows. Code: 309 ![]()
Awards talk always makes me so sad. A lot of talented and amazing people are on NOLA that are worthy of awards consideration, but while we talk, can I just ask for one thing? Please give Marcella Toriki a running back of the year award. I am begging you. Now, I hear you saying that she doesn't even have the most yards. Toriki currently has the second-most yards, 203 yards back from first place. However, she does have 57 fewer carries, and a higher efficiency. In fact, upon closer inspection, you will find that she has the highest efficiency of anyone with over 100 touches. Now, I hear you bringing up this silly thing called "touchdowns". I recognize that she is a bit behind in that department, yes. Currently she has three rushing TDs, 5 back from the person who has the most. She just needs to have a few strong scoring games and all will be well again. But Toriki's also contributed a whole 8 pancakes! Isn't that great? Yeah okay, her season hasn't actually been *that* strong. But I need to believe in her or I will fall apart emotionally. I know she's not going to be offensive player of the year, and that she doesn't ever stand a chance at getting an MVP in this lifetime, but I just want one award. Please?

For predicting awards, instead of going the route of awards that correspond to a per game basis, I thought Id dive into the award race that can change at any given week, and that the offensive and defensive performance of the year awards. And without diving in too much into what are the very best performances that I may have missed, there are two that certainly caught my eye and I think are at the very least very much in the race for these awards. The first is the offensive performance award and so far to me, that belongs to San Jose runningback, Jamar Lackson. In Week 4, San Jose had a bitter loss to the Hahalua, losing by 3 in a massive scoring game that ended 40-37. But in this game, Lackson scored every touchdown for his team. That’s 5 touchdowns in one game. While he didn’t amass the yards that you’d expect to go along with 5 touchdowns, that kind of performance is sure to be one of the leagues best this season. On the defensive side of the ball I look to league vet and teammate, Dermot Lavelle Jr. Cornerback for the Copperheads. Now usually it’s the players on offence that score the touchdowns, but in week 8, Lavelle took not one, but two to the house. Once on a kick return and the other a pick six. That along with 2 PDs and 4 Tackles is one hell of a performance.

bronko mills of the tijuana luchadores is definitely on pace to win every award possible including running back of the year and offensive rookie of the year and offensive player of the year and most valuable player and performance of the year he is the best running back in the dsfl right now and maybe ever and because his dad was very good he has award winning pedigree although i do not know if his dad won any dsfl awards because to be honest i don't even know if they had dsfl awards back when daddy brian mills was playing for the tijuana luchadores maybe he only won awards in the nsfl but anyway speaking of brian mills and great linebackers who played for tijuana there is also some amazing linebackers currently playing for the tijuana luchadores who also should win linebacker of the year and most valuable player even maybe they can share the award with bronko mills that has happened before but regardless there definitely should be tijuana linebackers winning all the awards and not some silly goose linebackers who play for a goose team that is actually just the san antonio marshalls in disguise haha remember how bad the marshalls were can you imagine them winning awards no neither could i but ESPECIALLY not silly goose linebackers whos users have been banned for being horrible people lol

Who will win the DSFL awards? I actually do not know, let me check the index real quick and solely base my decision off of stats. Oh wow would you look at that, Bronko Mills at the top of the rushing leaderboard along with his RB1 who he blocks for at number two overall rushing, and bronko also with the highest yards per carry out of any runningback with more than a handful of carries look at that who wouldve known this when i started writing this Point Task. Lets be impartial and stop writing about how my fullback is the greatest and lets look at the other side of the ball to who has the best chance at winning some DSFL awards, oh wow look at that stat line, Ben Alexander Arnold has a whopping 2 INT's (tying the league leader) and 8 PD's (only one less than the league leader) all while only having 14 tackles, which is huge because theoretically the more tackles you have, the more catches you give up. So Ben Alexander Arnold has at most 14 catches allowed while disrupting 10 pass attempts, which is pretty insane coverage compared to the other defensive backs with more than 30 tackles.
