The thing is he walked in when Adam was discussing the situation. He never trash talked him. This is a scenario where Matt came in after we had been discussing about his situation, Adam never once said anything out of line. Worst thing I said was that the holdout article frustrated me. Adam and I were the last two to talk when he joined (after having been reluctant to join the locker room before he made it public that he was holding out). We were discussing what might happen to James, not shit talking him like he would have you believe.

Well, they didn't show me any courtesy, either, but no one seemed bothered by that.  I'm sure that two indications of disrespectful rookie treatment in under a week from a GM who has accomplished nothing is no big deal at all.  They're gonna be great.

I'm not saying he was lying, I'm just saying he was exaggerating, and I will admit, I said those quotes. My first interaction with this teammate was learning through a public article that he was holding out. My first attempt to reach out was this message.

Hey, seeing as we are both members of the Liberty's draft class and the Liberty I wanted to reach out to you as you begin holding out. As a part of the team I hope you end the holdout soon and start working towards getting better with the team and getting better as a player. If you have a problem with contracts you could ask the GMs for a 1 year deal and go from there also.

Which he responded with

Here's my thing matt, multiple gms have said you never responded to their pre draft interview. So that's 1 thing that immediately strikes me as peculiar. The next thing is that your first contact with any teammates came from an article you posted about holding out, so whatever the situation is you put yourself in a bad light  because our first impression of you  was a selfish player. That's another thing. The last thing is that 2 million a year is a far deal for rookies, it isnt like everyone is getting berc type contracts at 9 million or 6 million a year. It just seems silly.

Adam never at any point said anything out of line, never suggested to write an article(it was all my idea). It was frustrating and still is to see that a teammate, who has had multiple members of the Liberty reach out, shovel this onto the fault of the GMs because he had some pre-existing prejudice against the team, he even says so in his presser.

That would make sense, but bear in mind that 1) he told me he WOULD be listening to me on decisions, and 2) he already had a player NOT on his team involved in decision-making. So yeah, I can be mad at him. And, more importantly, I can make fun of him for horrible trades.

Listening to you doesn't mean using everything you say as gospel and the word of the world. He can listen to you, and still decide to keep going with whatever he was going to do.

Fair point, but the trade I am referring to was before all of that.

Too be fair you're a much more polarizing person, compared to James. Not everyone receives a reason as to why they weren't drafted, and teams realistically don't owe you anything if they didn't draft you. You don't see every rookie calling every team that passed them disrespectful.
