This offseason has probably been the most drastic one for Blaylock. After working hard for many seasons and seeing some pretty good results on the field, Mason is officially over the hill in his football career. I'm hopeful that there are at least another couple great years of production before father time puts the big slam down. Mason's timeline is almost symbolic of NOLA as a team. A lot of the what could be considered the S21 championship core is in the regression stage. It's not all doom and gloom, though. NOLA has an awesome collective of young talent that we have acquired both through the draft and in free agency. I also think the defense, especially the secondary is as good of a unit as I have ever played on. Rector especially has been showing what it means to have amazing production later in a career. He is currently on pace for 16 interceptions by seasons end and I think he just might do it . NOLA has such a bright future. With the exception of last season's disappointing results, the Second Line are always a team who can compete for the Ultimus. I think the combination of young talent mixed in with the veterans we have currently make us a dangerous team.

This offseason was a good one for Joseph Petrongolo and the Berlin Fire Salamanders. In the rookie draft, the team added some awesome new rookies, including first overall pick Bambam McMullet, and another first rounder, Derek Wildstar (Of course, there are plenty more of you awesome Berlin rookies). Since the Fire Salamanders are an expansion team, most of their players are very young. The team has the second youngest average player age, and nobody retired in the offseason, putting them in a great position to make something happen this season. Joseph Petrongolo, one of the fastest players in the league, put in a lot of work during the offseason to make sure he gets more playing time than the other running back on the Berlin team, Danny King. Every day you could catch him with his teammates, in the weight room or on the field trying to get better. You can be sure you’ll see him making a bigger impact on the field than he did last season. The Berlin defense has a nice security blanket thanks to some of the rookies they added, and they will make great additions to the team in the seasons to come. Even if they can’t shake up the league this season, you can be sure that next season they will be a top contender for league champions with all the weapons they have on both sides of the ball.

Not much as changed for Asher. He has remained with the same team. He has remained in the same position. Some of his teammates have changed along the way, but aside from that he has re-signed with the Honolulu Hahalua and is prepared for more growth for a relatively young team in a building phase. While I would not call Honolulu full of a "large cast of rookies," we are not heavily into regression which will have us only continue to grow in TPE and level of competitiveness. Asher has continued to improve as he has learned the pacing of the game and continues to fine tune a routine to play to his potential. Meanwhile, he has watched his brother and many friends met at the Combine travel across the league to new homes. This season has not started the way Asher or his teammates have hoped. A 0-4 start is not how any team suspects to start, especially losing some games at home. Now headed off on a streak of road games, Honolulu's future is troubling, but just as starting 0-4 is unsuspecting, the team knows that winning on the road is just as unsuspecting. So, if unsuspecting is the theme of this season, they will embrace the good and abd that comes with it.

The Baltimore Hawks over the off season had major need that needed to get fixed. Starting an inactive cornerback last season and being in the bottom group of teams in turnovers hurt in many games when all that was needed was one stop in order to get the momentum shifted. However, big moves were made in order to get the secondary up on its feet in S26. One move was a call up from the S25 draft in Tony Yeboah who was phenomenal as a run stopping safety in Kansas City. As a good earning player, he has a potential to become a great rookie this upcoming season and add onto the youth of the defensive side of the ball. Another new set of rookie additions come on the defensive line as Etrigan Slayer and Ernest Lover join veteran defensive tackle, Nuniq Annastesia, to beef up the run defense that was missing on some drives in S25. The rookies all come with great TPE levels with plenty of room to grow as well but they are not alone. Instead two veteran players come in with a linebacker duo of Spike Suzuki and Dexter Jackson looking to fill up any remaining holes on defense with their experienced knowledge and are joined by hall of fame cornerback, Dermot Lavelle Jr who seeks his final glory years prior to entering the hall. There is a lot of great addition to the Hawks’ defense that are sure to put in work this season.

Oh the offseason, one of the roughest parts of being in the league, also exceptionally turbulent. It is a time of change, a time of rebirth and growth. Players updating regression, adding tons of tpe theough all of the various offseason methods, coming into the next season with a huge boost or a giant loss depending on age of the player.

For myself I definitely picked up a good amount of tpe taking full advantage of my opportunities. Some solid boost to my stats included, I am now much more confident in my role as a backup running back in Yellowknife. I have already begun passing up veteran running backs for total tpe making me at least solidly better than a ton of the inactive players and even some of the less active players. Some players regression has even got me topping super active vets, but thats nothing to be proud of for me, just a fact of life for the leagues architecture.

I am moving solidly into my second year in the isfl my third year overall, and I gotta say the change there is subtle but present. I feel completely confident on the league and my future as a star, although I haven't been getting the numbers I had hoped, I haven't even come close to reaching my prime. I'm having a blast and I think km helping my team now, its great to think the best is yet to come for me and that I am perfectly comfortable as I reach the middle of my rookie contract.

I suppose the biggest changes that have come don't really focus around me at all. The yelloeknife Wraiths, as a team have transformed into a true contender. I was skeptical of our future last season, we seemed to be an upper middle team, but change was coming. This year it looks like our leadership did an excellent job strengthening the defense and shoring up our weaknesses. Offenwe looks set to score at will and defense looks set to to protect the endzone at all costs.. If we aren't a contender this year I would be willing to bet real life money that we will be in the picture next year if not the favorites to win it all.

Altogether it seems like all the change has been an overwhelmingly net positive. Despite my rough season last year both in the league and in real life, I sit poised to be more active in the league now that I'm reaching a more stable moment in life as well as finding peace with everything that has happened.
