Training camp down in Texas featured little drama. Honestly it was probably the most boring but focused camp in the ISFL. This could have went an entirely different route had the Copperheads claimed the Ultimus last season. However, the team overachieving to the furthest possibility has kept everyone humbled. The biggest drama came from the search for three missing players: Doug Howlett, Lesean Paris Crooks, and Eddie Jeeta. None of these players mentioned had updated in a month, but still made it to gameday each week. There were clues that Crooks still hung around the facilities --- often teammates found his pick 'em slips or point tasks journal but they could never track him down specifically.
As for the other two, there were rumors of an underground fight club out in West Texas that the duo participated in inbetween game days. The three newest rookies, Gluteus, Candice D., and Bayley were tasked with tracking them down. After weeks out in oil fields and the scorching desert, the trio crossed the duo in Lubbock and were ordered to take them to the Piney Woods, but instead ended up in West Canada because they kept following the snow, starting in the Texas panhandle. Once up there, the two were forced to fight until one could not fight anymore. Jeeta instead tried to run off and the three rooks decided to take Howlett home. Rumor has it that Jeeta found refuge with some legendary pirates.
When the 4 returned home, they notice a powerful shadowy figure in the Copperheads facility that carried a powerful aura. The figure escaped into the night, but left behind a bet slip and real estate agent cards. With Jeeta gone, Bayley would replace him in the depth chart for the upcoming season.
