For the Sarasota Sailfish who sit at 7-3, second in their division and pushing for a top seed finish, it seems that all of Demon Jaxsons teammates have been performing at a high level this season. However, it is safe to say, the one who is performing at the highest level for the fishe, and elevating the rest of the team to perform at such a high level too, is quarterback Mike Boss Jr.. This season, Boss Jr. is having a career year stats wise completing 261 passes for 3081 yards, with a TD - INT ratio of 26 - 9 at the time of writing, ten games into the season. This outstanding level of play has allowed everyone else on the Sarasota offense to prosper, and helped the team win games, but on a personal level for MBJ, it has done wonders for his awards push as he sits firmly in the MVP race, neck and neck with a few other candidates. The high performers not only come on offense though, but on the defensive side of the ball as well, such as newly swapped linebacker Mike Witheblock, who leads the league in sacks. This forces opposing offenses to double team him, giving the rest of the defense big opportunities as well.
Jaja Dingdong. His love for pancakes grows wide and long.Through 10 weeks of this glorious season, Jaja is averaging 9 pancakes per game. Nine. Most people are capable of eating roughly 2-3 full-sized pancakes in a sitting, but Jaja is seemingly unphased by the fluffy delights. Defensive linemen get thrown back like school children. Maybe even more impressive that the pancakes is the fact that he has, thus far, escaped without a sack allowed on his record. That may not sound shocking at first, but San Jose has allowed the 3rd most sacks this season. So for him to be squeaky clean is actually quite the accomplishment.
Interestingly, Jaja was not always into pancakes, but had dabbled before. In S26, he was a Tight End for the Sabercats, and notched 30 pancakes in a 16-game season. That’s all it took for him to catch the bug. In the offseason, he worked with Tim Pest on bulking up and gaining even more strength. He officially made the move to Offensive Line during the S27 season, and now he is feasting. He is top of the pile through 10 weeks, and shows no signs of slowing down. With 6 weeks left, Dingdong has his eyes on the single season record for pancakes, and by god, I think he’ll get it!
The Developmental Simulation Football League’s season is almost halfway through and the Bondi Beach Buccaneers have still yet to win a game. A very sad fate for the energetic rookies and seasoned vets that worked so hard training in the offseason and put it all out on the field. I’ve had some discussions with the coaches and GMs on what can be done, but due to some staffing issues it’s been hard to field a competitive team. In the end it is a developmental league and the wins and losses don’t matter in the grand scheme so players that perform well individually should be proud of their achievements. One such stand out player on the Bucaneers is ILoveDallas UnBanZayn the linebacker for the Buccaneers who is leading the league in tackles despite an abysmal Bucs defense. This stud has racked up an astounding 9 tackles per game- and at this pace should easily finish the season with over 100 which is a crowning achievement. I feel bad for anyone who comes into his path from the offense as he will be on you like white on rice. He has been very helpful in getting my agility and tackling skills in tip top shape and he is a captain on and off the field!

There have been a tons of ups and downs for the Colorado Yeti this season and it has been surprising to see how our players can be doing really well one game and then the next game completely fall off the cliff and become invisible. Still, there is one player on this roster who has been thoroughly consistent all season long. Some might think super stars like Caliban or Lim or Murder-Moose, but it isn't any of those guys as even they have been volatile. No, it is an old faithful who has returned for one last season as a backup. Bubba Thumper. After making a long exit for the team, he came back for a retirement tour and though he is old and rarely sees the field, every single time he steps onto the field it is for a big play. If Bubba is gonna do work, its gonna be good work! he has been on the field four times this season. In those four plays he has four tackles. One went for a tackle for a loss and all three of the others were for a sack. He has been brilliant and he is showing his veteran savvy in a big way every time his name is called on. Bubba is leaving his mark and without a doubt will be a hall of famer when he retires.
Despite an awful record from Austin this season, the team is not playing like a 1 win 8 loss and 1 tie team. Zoe Watts is a very good example of this. Watts is 7th in the league in Rushing. Not only is she racking up some good rushing yards, she is tied for the most yards per rush at 5.2 with Cobra Kai and Nicholas Ayers. Watts has been absolutely electric for us this season and if Austin wants to get their second win of the season, they may want to start giving Watts more touches on the football. Videl-San is another great example of our players outperforming our terrible record. Videl-San is 5th in receiving yards and has the most yards per catch of anyone in the league at 18. The next closest yards per catch is Kai Sakura at 16.3. So Videl-San is up in that category by a good margin. On the defensive side, Brach Thomaslacher leads the league in tackles with 73 and Tyler Mountain is tied for 7th with 67. Owen Isaac leads the league in tackles for a loss with 8 and Dex Kennedy is tied for second with 6. Kennedy is also tied with Jack Banks for most forced fumbles. Kennedy also is tied for first in fumbles recovered (among defensive players). Thomaslacher and Mountain are also both tied for 4th in sacks with 9 and Kennedy is tied for 9th with 8. Mountain is also one of 10 players with a safety.
While Fantuz might be new to the league, he is not new to knowing which of his teammates go above and beyond. The two that really stand out for him this year include Troy Abed and Gimmy Jaroppolo Jr. Who have both been absolutely outstanding on the football field and leading their respective positions in the league as a true QB and WR tandem. While this sort of performance leaves Fantuz as the number two guy, it allows for him to see what it takes to be a professional wide receiver and how to conduct one self on and off the football field. Off the football field Troy Abed has taken Fantuz under his wing and shown him how to do many of the other aspects of a professional football life that one needs to do to be considered a great or even a hall of fame caliber football players. While these two players stand out, it's the entire team and locker room that make the whole experience worthwhile as gamedays and offdays are filled with anticipation for the next game and potentially the playoffs if we make it that far. While the DSFL is only a temporary stopping point for these players in their hopefully long career, I hope to see some of these teammates down the road in the ISFL and hopefully compete for a Ultimus trophy because of how good these people are in the league and on the Coyotes (243)
I would like to introduce Mike Boss Jr. Mike Boss Jr is the QB of Sailfish, and he has been delivering extraordinary performance for the whole season. Mike Boss Jr is an S24 veteran, and so far he has got 1240 TPEs. With the 1240 TPEs, he has already maximized all his attributes, and he still keep updating and making more TPEs, I guess just for fun. His stats are impressive. He attempted 375 throws and compared to other QBs, his throwing attempt is not very large. However, his completion rate is really high: 69.6%, ranking the first among all the QBs. This season, Sailfish improves its offensive line, so it benefits Mike Boss Jr's throwing a lot. He has more time to think and aim at the right WRs or TEs. Since Mike Boss Jr strikes a balance between the passing and running plays, the interceptions are relatively a small number - only 9 times. Well, it may not look as impressive as some other QBs (like Ramza from OCO), but it is still reasonably good. Mike Boss Jr's overall rating is 107.4, which ranks second among all the QBs. He will continue to deliver this high performance to help Sailfish to win another championship this season.
With half the season in the books my main man Quarterback Colby Jack is the favorite for a plethora of individual awards, including the big one: league Most Valuable Player. The Quarterback with the best stats is usually the MVP. Cheese man Jack’s stats are tremendous: he boasts a league leading 107.9 passer rating, the only other QB in the same territory is Boss. Jack has the third most passing attempts in the league while having the second best completion percentage. So the volume matches his impressive efficiency. He has the most touchdown passes in the league to this point and is about mid pack in interceptions thrown. Jack has been leading the Yellowknife Wraith’s offense admirably, and off the field he is a consummate professional and one of the leaders in the locker room. Looking ahead to the rest of the season it will be interesting if Jack can keep up with this torrid pace. Despite his great play the Wraiths are currently on the outside of a playoff spot looking in. As a member of the Wraiths I’m hoping the rest of us could pick it up so we could get into the playoffs and defend our title. It would suck if an MVP caliber type of season was used on a team that failed to make the playoffs.
