Brice Boggs' life in Tennessee was not always easy. While his family got along just fine, Boggs began noticing some of his friends weren't. One day, he was playing some football with his good friend Kellen Mayes at the local high school stadium. Brice Boggs was 13 at the time. "Set, Hike!" Boggs was running a fade route. Kellen threw a tight spiral right on the money. Boggs caught it, and ran 30 yards. He flipped into the end zone. He made a Heisman pose. He laid down in the end zone, and looked back at Kellen. "That was an amazing throw!". "Yeah. I guess." Kellen replied. Boggs sprinted back to the 50 yard line where Kellen was standing, with his head down. "What's the problem?" Boggs asked. "Oh, it's just that my mom says I can't play football this year."
"Why not?" Boggs replied. Kellen started sniffling. "It's just that we ain't got the money for it."
From that day on, Boggs made it his goal to help young children without enough money to play football. He eventually created his own program named "Boggs camp", a camp for young kids who enjoy football for free. At the end of the camp, he gave each player a set of their own pads, autographed.
