After two amazing deals in the last few days, the Philadelphia Liberty look primed for a playoff season in season 3 and perhaps more.
An already fantastic defense added two more assets to it this week, as the Liberty traded three picks to the Legion for star Defensive Tackle Mark Ramrio. He will bolster the weakest part of the defense, the defensive line.
But the Liberty were not done making deals yet, as they also added the biggest free agent out there, star line-backer AC Hackett. Hackett landed the most lucrative contract in NSFL history and will make 12 million dollars in season 3 as well as 8 million in season 4. He also has a non-trade clause in his new contract.
With these acquisitions, the Liberty might now have the best defense in the league. While the offense still might struggle, it is easy to see how the Liberty could be in the playoffs this season or even challenge the Outlaws in the Ultimus game.
The defense now has the following line-up: D. Davidson, M. Ramrio, O. Von Gerhardt in the defensive line. Then AC Hackett, L. Washington, P. Tucker and A. Krimlaw as the linebackers. Followed by the secondary of T. Oles, K. O'Sullivan, L. Jefferson and V. Marmeladov. Truly a great defense in every position and will be hard for opponents to score against. The Liberty have truly built something special on defense!
