Power rankings indicate that if two teams face off with all things neutral, the higher team should win, does that happen? It’s why we play the game.
For the record, the index has the Outlaws as #1.
1.
Arizona Outlaws (9-0) ?0
They are going to lose to the Legion in week 14, because there is no God. Did you know that the Outlaws have passed for the third fewest yards? They also have the highest rushing yardage of any teams. Anyways, they’re likely going to win the Ultimus as nothing seems to be stopping them.
2.
Orange County Otters (6-3) ?0
Boss is on pace to go for 5k yards this season. What happens from here will be interesting as the Free Agency talks have stalled. It seems that while the season is still in full swing, most teams are preparing for season 4. There’s nothing to hate about the Otters, who once again have provided the league with a team that excels at their passing offense and is not really weak anywhere else.
3.
Baltimore Hawks (6-3) ?0
Kyubee is right now considered a top 3 QB. And that’s fine, he will not be at the end of the season. This showed when the Outlaws came to town and just went to town. Although he threw for near 300 yards, the 2:1 turnover to touchdown ratio shows that you cannot rely on Kyubee to lead your offense. I think the Hawks will win the NSFC seed, but the ASFC is where the action is.
4.
Philadelphia Liberty (4-4-1) ?+2
What a win. Rove put up the best performance of the season as North went to town on the Sabercats cornerbacks. There’s nothing to not love about this team, and the Liberty are now on pace to possibly present the Wraiths with their first playoff denial. This could be an interesting story to watch.
5.
San Jose SaberCats (4-4-1) ?-1
Well, the defense decided that it was the Liberty, they could take a week off. They paid for that hard. And while the Cats tried to claw back, the damage was done and they could not recover. No fourth quarter comeback for the team that leads in them this season. Dan Miller still had 3 sacks, and the disgraced Wide Receiver 3 Darren Smallwood returns this week and ready show up.
6.
Las Vegas Legion (0-9) ?+1
The Legion played a close game and honestly have been making LeClair look like he should be a top 3 most paid wide receiver. In fact, the only stat he’s really not top 3 in is his average yard per catch. But I guess when Berc is forced to throw that way because there are no other options and top cornerback for the team be damned, it’s going to happen.
7.
Colorado Yeti (2-7) ?+1
Why are Yeti below the Legion? Let’s talk. Let’s talk about the problems that this team is rife with. For starts, the strategy on offense is lacking and honestly heavily underperforming. The Yeti have realized they have a gem in Boss Tweed. And they do. Tweed has the second highest Yard Per Carry of any RB with more than 20 carries and the second highest total yardage of any RB. So, what’s the issue? Well Tweed sits below every starting runningback in terms of touchdowns. Diaz has more touchdowns in the San Jose Committee than Tweed does. The reason for this is simple, shut down Tweed, and force Pierno to throw. Pierno has thrown an average of 6.5 interceptions to touchdowns. For perspective, Rove has the second highest interception rate, at 1.3 interceptions thrown to touchdowns. In 14 games, Berc led the league in interceptions with 23. Pierno has already broken that record with 5 games to go. The defense for the Yeti has been unable to stop a team because they get gassed by how often they are on the field. They have volume, but have also represented one sixth of the touchdowns scored by the team, they have one touchdown.
When I started the Power Rankings last season, the first one I did, the Hawks were at 0-1 and above the 1-0 Legion who they just lost to, because of the context of the win and the team around them. It’s not disrespect. It’s true. Wins are a metric that means teams underperformed against the Yeti, not a sign that the Yeti did well. I don’t think anyone will deny that.
8.
Yellowknife Wraiths (4-5) ?-3
They lost to the Yeti. Pierno still turned the ball over more than scored and they lost. Lol.
Please send my buddy @ckroyal92 the first 1mil from this. I’ll take the rest.
