How do you intend to proceed through off-season and draft? I'm just trying to get a general idea. This is my first Madden play league.

We will try our best to keep it timely. Hopefully for each stage of the off season we can do a party chat or do like an advance every 6 hours or something. The draft can be paused between each user pick so nobody will get missed unless I manually skip the pick because someone is taking too long. At least for the draft it would be nice to do a party chat with everyone online together.

I know with Madden 18, you can now set a draft board in CFM so if you are skipped or need to be away, the game will auto draft you the top player on your draft board.

I also play with a really specific slider set normally and never played competitive so this will be interesting. Having an early draft pick might be pretty good though.

If nothing else this will help me get my money's worth with the game, I'm one of those guys that drives himself insane trying to mess with sliders to get the game realistic and burn myself out.

Quick question though, are there any house rules or anything like that? Against the cpu I employ a pretty realistic gameplan normally but against other players it always seems like they're going for it every 4th down and stuff like that so I have to adjust big time.

You can, yes, so if someone cant make the draft that is an option for them.

As far as house rules, I think the only one explicitly stated is that you can only start a game against a CPU once. If you do get lagged out, screenshot it because we can all see when you quit and restart a game. Against the CPU, I am instantly in chew clock mode and I see some people running their scores up into the 70's so just play your game. In my few H2H matches, we are punting on 4th and playing a realistic-ish gameplan so I assume just play a "gentlemen's" game.

As for the game sliders, they seem pretty standard. Difficulty against CPU is what you'd expect from All-Pro settings. Our XP slider are severely over inflated so if you can draft and develop key players, you will benefit immensely.

I have also set up THIS SITE to track the league's schedule, standing, and player stats. I try to keep it updated with each advance. It's an easy to see general league info when you're away from your console.

To add on we also say no cpu trades. One was made that will be reversed the moment season ends

First game, knew I was out of the playoff picture so honestly kind of wanted to lose going into it.
Wanted to play to get used to the difficulty and stuff like that. Down 13-17 with a minute and a half and I found myself wanting to win pretty bad. 17 seconds left and I hit what I thought would be the game winner. But Perriman gets tripped up by the defender, falling forward he stretches ahead, DOWN AT THE ONE, times running out, THEY CAN'T GET A PLAY OFF, game.

Fun game, can't wait to get a top 6 pick and make this team a playoff threat next year. Good luck in the playoffs to everyone who made it.
