Kennedy certainly fell into a few sticky situations early into his NSFL career. Coming from the party lifestyle on LSU campus to the quaint lifestyle of a small rural Canadian town was quite a wake-up call for the young man. However, these days, he’s left the party lifestyle behind in favor of more productive endeavors, such as professional networking, business investments, and charity aid. That said, he’s still found a way to occasionally fall into trouble of some type.
During this recent offseason, Kennedy agreed to appear with one of his business partners at a public grand opening of one of their company’s stores. Not realizing it at the time, he also committed to appear in-person at a large charity event that was advertising his involvement to help raise money. Unfortunately, what he did not realize was that both events were occurring at the same time. It was indeed a sticky situation and he tried to get out of it, but choosing one over the other would clearly damage his relationship with the neglected party. Ultimately, Kennedy did choose to appear with the charity and opted to donate a little extra to support the event on behalf of the business, including a few banners pieced together at the last minute. The business partners were still unhappy that he had to cancel the grand opening, but at least he was able to save some face and promote their brand while still keeping a good name with the charitable community.
