Every team will have a plethora of rookies this year, but not a single other team had as stacked of a draft as the Yellowknife Wraiths. Firstly picked at #8 in this years NSFL draft, the man, the myth, the beast of the east, Borro Gore. One of the few power backs in the DSFL was picked early by the Wraiths with their first pick in the draft, unfortunately we won't see much of Borro Gore in the NSFL this season as he's being sent back down to the DSFL to feast for another season.
Tight end Glenn McPoyal is the first player on this list to actually be ready to play out his rookie season in the NSFL this year. Yellowknife has a poor record with tight ends after seemingly striking it rich with the aging Ricky Maddox and more recently Joseph Askins who have either changed positions and stalled in their career or headed off to greener pastures. As of now, McPoyal is a pretty reserved player in the locker room from my experiences with him and often will only talk if you initiate conversation first, then again the off season is a boring time for all so I can forgive him for that!
To finish out the 2nd round of picks, Yellowknife traded for yet another running back, presumably to boast a solid 1-2 punch when Bubba Nuck outlives his usefulness up in snowy Yellowknife. Rainey will also be playing in the DSFL for a consecutive season and won't be seen often around the Yellowknife locker room but mark my words, next season this RB-TE combo will be feasting, both on and off the field.
