The most exciting rookie the Yeti added this offseason was Dwayne Aaron. Aaron was a clear top pick after he torched the DSFL in his first season of play and has shown a lot of growth potential. He was a perfect fit for the Yeti. The Yeti's passing attack has been one of the worst in the league since the suspension of Logan Noble. Much of this has been attributed to Pierno's youth but it's also worth noting that the Yeti's wide receivers stopped developing around that time so they are now left with the worst receiving core in the league, which has done Pierno no favors. Adding Aaron will be huge for the Yeti because as he develops, Pierno will finally have a top tier wide receiver to throw to and the Yeti will finally be able to get their passing game going. The Yeti's biggest weakness over the last few years has been their inability to move the ball through the air but Aaron should allow them to fix that as he develops over the next few years and his development may be the edge to help the Yeti finally contend for a playoff spot again.
Another big move the Yeti made this offseason was signing AC Hackett. Another major problem the Yeti have is their lack of veteran leadership as they had just 6 players on the roster who entered the NSFL during its first two seasons, which makes it hard to compete with teams that have many more developed players on their rosters. Hackett adds another player who has been in the league since day one and is now one of the most developed players on the roster. While the growth of young players will help, the Yeti will need more veterans on the roster if they hope to compete with the top teams and Hackett is a great start towards adding more veterans and will make an immediate impact.
