It's quite a weird perspective to write this from, but as the only addition to the Sabercats this past season, Cordell Joshua is the main new face to look out for in San Jose. Drafted with the 2nd overall pick in the S6 NSFL Draft, the explosive defensive lineman from Tulsa, Oklahoma has had a slow start to the season in his first few games, which is arguably to be expected as he adapts to the much higher level of competition found in the NSFL compared to what he's playing in in the past. The Sabercats made a big move at the draft to acquire Joshua, being willing to give up their 1st in next years draft to outbid the Philadelphia Liberty and prevent them jumping over them to take Joshua. The manner of his selection obviously puts a lot of expectation on Cordell to be able to deliver the goods in the NSFL, and the coaches in San Jose are certain that given time, the results will follow shortly. A big addition to the team with the intention of him being the player to reinforce their defensive line and give them a pass rush option that the team has lacked in the past, Joshua will be hopeful that he can achieve big things with the Sabercats over the coming seasons.
