Although we're not accustomed to blizzards or anything of the sort down in the Lonestar state, we do occasionally have big disasters that can come our way. As they say, the Lord only gives ya what you can handle but you gotta be prepared for the worst just in case. I learned that lesson the hard way when our town got hit by Hurricane Harvey last year and there was lots of problems in the events that followed. Luckily I was with my family at the time and my parents were prepared for such disasters with a storm shelter. We huddled up in the shelter for a few days while the storm was hittin' and once it was over we helped our community by cleaning up the neighborhood and trying to rescue folks in my raised truck that I had at the time. It's never an easy time but we pulled through as a community with our faith in God and each other. #TexasStrong
