100 accuracy. Turkleton has 100 fucking accuracy. And yet he still missed an extra point versus the Otters last week. It’s fucking insane. Cornerbacks: you have it bad. But fucking shit I swear to heck kicker stats mean almost nothing. And some kicking decisions in games are fucking baffling. New rookie kicker? Let him try a 57 yarder! 3rd season kicker (me) with 90 power and max (95) accuracy? Literally never fucking try a 57 yarder ever. Oh, and ole Turkleton, back when he was a power kicker with maxed kicking stats..? If you think he didn’t PUNT many many times from between the 30 and 40, you’re mistaken. Draft Day Sports: Pro Football is a hecking joke when it comes to kicking. It’s just rediculous. Also punting. Punt averages actually... make SOME okay sense at season end. But the punts themself are crazy. Punters don’t just alternate between 30s and 70s multiple times in a game. Plus 70s happen way too fuckin often. In the 2017 NFL season, 3 seasons had a longest punt of over 70 yards (and 2 teams had 70 as their long).
And back to an earlier point, what the fuck in general when it comes to extra points. I’m 100% on field goals so far this season but 92.6% on extra points. What the fuck, my dudes.
Look, in real life, I LOVE special teams. And I LOVE the NSFL. But the NSFL special teams - because of DDS
F - fucking sucks. No, I’m not gonna recreate or any shit like that, but to any random person about to make a player here who is reading this PT for some reason: if you make a kicker, prepare to see some stupid shit.
Literally the only nice thing is that even though regression times are the same for everyone (including kickers), at least since stats don’t matter I can be good (or terrible) all the way till my forced retirement!
