Brad Pennington was a bit of a gamer at Syracuse, hanging out with the guys before and after team events. His game of choice was of course Madden. It is unbelievable how much bonding can be accomplished by such an infuriating game. For starters, the numerous bugs and issues that were constant from year to year resulted in some pretty bad incidents when the team went head to head. A game could be won or lost simply based on a glitch. The entire team hated Madden, but never threw it away entirely. The stress after a game or practice was easily dealt with by the somehow soothing nature of knowing the guy besides you also hates this game. Using the read option however, was banned after someone broke a television because his player clipped through the QB. Everyone went back to APF2K8 after a bit, which while not a perfect game, felt more enjoyably to an extent.
