I have recently gotten into a lot of podcasts. I listen to them when driving to practice, I listen to them during practice, I listen to them while at home after practice. It's a bit of a problem... but there's just something so relaxing but yet informative about them. Some podcasts, like RadioLab, Hardcore History, and This American Life are amazing storytelling podcasts that take a deep dive into the human condition, science, history, and even random stuff like an hour on buttons! But then there are other podcasts like Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, Dear Hank and John, and Star Talk that are both hilarious and educational.
Podcasts are really good for things that don't require much thought, like cooking, cleaning, or practicing kicking leather eggs through two yellow posts. You can just turn your brain off and immerse yourself in the story being told - and suddenly two hours have flown by. I've switched to listening to podcasts instead of music this season and so far the results have been positive!
