Has there ever been an easier question asked? If I could only play with one other NSFL player, past or present, it would certainly be the legendary cornerback Ezekiel “Easy” Bishop. The guy is a legend. He embodies everything that the NSFL is, ever was, and ever will be. For those who haven’t heard the story of Ezekiel “Easy” Bishop, he was this league’s first tragic retirement. Ezekiel “Easy” Bishop grew up in inner-city Chicago. He was a star basketball prospect, even walking on to the Duke University team. However, his lack of a growth spurt quickly saw his basketball dreams go up in flames. The young man then transferred to Northern Illinois University where he played his first year of college football. Ezekiel “Easy” Bishop’s NSFL career ended before it even began though. Through a tragic set of circumstances, Bishop retired just days before the NSFL draft. The cornerback legend has never played a snap, made a tackle, forced a fumble, defended a pass, intercepted a pass, returned a kick, scored a touchdown, etc. However, despite his lack of accomplishments off the field almost everyone knows his name. He is the greatest. I would be honored to share the field with this man and let Ezekiel “Easy” Bishop take his first NSFL snap and further his legendary status on the field. As stated on the S1 Colorado Yeti Interested Prospects post, one of his goals was to “end up in the hall of fame as the greatest CB in history.” It would be great to be a part of a redemption story like that and help him achieve his goal. To a career that ended too soon...
