Kevin Fitzpatrick and a group of other draftees (most of them no names) will be participating in a week-long combination of thorough scouting combine and reality show directed by the same team responsible for HBO’s Hard Knocks. The crew will follow the rookie prospects through running challenges, starting with combine-specific events like the 40 yard dash, and progressing to obstacle courses a la American Ninja. For strength, the group will begin, once again, with the straightforward event, the bench press, but by the end of the segment will be competing in World’s Strongest Man style events. Finally, the remaining contestants will compete in position-specific drills. QBs like Fitzpatrick will begin with trashcan tosses (where he lost to some scrub with a big arm), to scrambling drills, to the hardest QB challenge of all: completing a pass to Paul DiMirio without him dropping it (Sorry @124715, I just read your PT and had to piggy-back on it). Each day, the person lowest in points got removed, and the overall winner gets an endorsement deal. Fitzpatrick placed first among QBs, but was nowhere near the top of the list thanks to some of the more athletic positions, which, for some reason, included punter. Why are punters in so much better shape than kickers?
