Applehort's first job was being the concession boy at his old high school. When he was little, he'd always beg his mom to take him to high school football and baseball games, so his mom signed him up to be the concession man. Applehort was ecstatic. He would be able to watch games, eat food, AND get paid all at the same time? It was a 10 year old's dream! Each game day (Football on Fridays, baseball on Saturdays and Mondays at 7 and 5 PM respectively). Each game day, he'd scooter on down to the field and eventually get dropped off by the team's quarterback after it was over. For baseball games, there was enough light out, so Ryan could scooter back home. Those were the fall days, when Applehort was care free. He made good money, too. Making $20 a ball game, Applehort built himself a little bank and saved up to get Cowboys tickets one year. But usually he just spent it on pizza, fizzy grape soda, and cheese sticks.
