Like many young people, the first job one holds is usually a small summer job, when school is out and it often involves some form of menial task.

The very first job Alexandre LeClair held was at a moving & storage company during the summer when he was 16. The 1st of July is pretty much national moving day in Canada and the demand for movers is high, especially for older people. LeClair spent that summer lifting and pushing, boxes, furniture, even a couple of pianos. One might think that for a young person, lifting things might be bad for their development but LeClair already had a pretty well-built physique which made most of the work tedious but not painful. LeClair came out of that with a couple thousand dollars, which helped pay for new sports equipment for the coming season. There might have also been some games and food purchased. Typical teenagers…
