Brad had one of the more interesting jobs a young kid can have in New York City: being a paper boy. Riding along the side streets of New York is a pretty interesting experience. The people around are interesting, the sights, the smells, it's absolutely perfect. It's one of the reasons that Brad would love to play in NYC supposing that a NSFL or DSFL franchise ever sets up shop there. Delivering papers didn't pay that well, but traveling at that age on a bike never got old. Certain people on the route tended to be jerks, others were always gone, and some moved. When Brad gets back home, sometimes he gets recognized and they ask him for an autograph. That's always a nice surprise which helps him remember where he came from. The paper boy who threw out the papers onto the steps for a few dollars a day destined to be an NSFL star.
