I can't say I fully know the landscape in the league, but I'll have a go at a list just to see to have some fun with it. It's hard to make a list if you don't know where the players are and who is throwing the ball off the top of your head. After spending a good chunk of my career in San Jose, it would be strange to join a new team but something I am open to.
1.
San Jose Sabercats
Hard to put them lower, but a rebuild could change my mind about staying with them. With a bit of an uphill battle coming for the Sabercats, it might be best to take my old ass elsewhere or straight up stay put to help a young quarterback out.
2.
Orange County Otters
If they I am reading the front page correctly. Westfield is one of their General Managers. I've always liked the guy and I think I could help out their team. It really depends on depth chart and if there is room for Jackson. It would feel weird joining the team I criticized for signing the overrated Josh Garden though.
3.
Philadelphia Liberty
I don't know much about this team but To is there and from my experiences with him, he isn't a bad guy. The ironic thing about this is Storm Blessed little cousin plays for this team and I could beat him for a roster spot, much like I beat his cousin back in Arizona. Wouldn't that be fun?
4.
Yellowknife Wraiths
The logo for this team grew on me. Not so sure about their General Managers so I can't really say what would and wouldn't work here. I don't know about playing up north as I need the sunshine and the warm weather to aid my aging body.
5.
Baltimore Hawks
I'll admit this ranking here is more because I think their logo, jersey and colours are a step behind other teams. Hawks is somewhat generic and not a very clever nickname. Baltimore is a cool city though and has some great downtown history.
6.
Arizona Outlaws
I won two titles with this team in the Er era and haven't really thought about them much since. They did me dirty by telling me I was a vital part of their team and then trading me less than a week later. The Arizona crowds were great, the management wasn't as good though. Not really sure where it's at right now.
7.
Colorado Yeti
I was once on this team and I'm glad I got off it really quick. The whole MemeMaestro. Cosborn stink is really gross and I can't see myself going back. Then there is the dirty job they did to San Jose recently. I just don't think their managed well.
8.
New Orleans Second Line
Mayran Jackson plays Football, not Hockey. I won't be joining a Hockey team to continue my professional sports career. I mean even if they offered me a lot of money, I don't really know how to skate. This is sure to ruffle some feathers and some have a hard time when the hockey joke is brought up. Change your name weirdos.
This is a little tongue and cheek here, so hope the sensitive Sally's don't get too strung up on things from the rankings. By the way, a Hockey team plays here? Come on.
