Back in the day, (it really seems like forever ago), at the S5 NSFL Draft, Carlito Crush knew that his name wouldn’t just be called, but that it’d be called VERY early. While he wasn’t 100% sure that he’d be the first overall pick to Colorado, he knew that if he wasn’t, he’d be playing in Baltimore. Because he was going to be a high pick, the NSFL invited him and his family to come sit in the green room during the draft, so he could walk across the stage, hug the commish, and get his jersey. Carlito brought his father, Brutus, his mother, and his Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer. It was an unreal experience, as the NSFL and his agent hooked him up with a new suit, a giant watch (that he had to give back after the draft), and some nice shoes. He was looking like a million dollars. Once he heard “And with the first pick in the S5 NSFL Draft, the Colorado Yeti select: Carlito Crush, Tight End, Ohio State.” He jumped right up and hugged his parents. He got on stage and was introduced to a whirlwind of cameras flashing, interviews, and little kids wanting his autograph. The feeling was surreal and something that may never be experienced again.
