(S8) - PT 1 - Draft Party

I was drafted in Season 3. I was not a very well known player, but I had many friends and family around me who were rooting for me the whole way through. This lead to me having a large draft party. We celebrated the draft in the comfort of my own home. We had a lot of food and were all seated around my family's small TV. Although this isn't the best setup, it was made up from being surrounded by all my family and friends. When I was drafted it was before the DSFL was required for new draftees, so everyone was focused on the NSFL draft. My party lasted a long time, since I was very well known I didn't get drafted until the third round. Everyone around me knew that I wouldn't be an early draft pick, so for the first 2 rounds we sat around just enjoying the other prospects get drafted. Once my name was called everyone around me was super excited. Being drafted into one of the playoff contenders for season 4, the Baltimore Hawks, was super exciting. It was one of the most exciting and best times of my life. Throughout the years to come I would meet many new and great people in the Hawks locker room, until I would finally retire after season 7.
